Can you poach an egg in this?

I would think not as a poached egg is cooked in water. It does make an excellent egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel.

Which side is the top?

It doesn't really matter which you'd consider the top as they are the same depth. I put the clear on top when I make an egg. The picture shows the opposite. Sometimes I flip it 1/2 way through for even cooking.

Is this guaranteed dishwasher safe by the manufacturer?

The instructions with this item states "Not Dishwasher Safe." These have such slick surface on the side that contains the food that they are very easily washed by hand. We have never experienced any food that sticks to the surface.

Can these be used in an instant pot?

I would not think so. They are made for the microwave, Only takes 1 1/2 minutes on 50% power.

Make a Fresh Egg McMuffin!

I love this item! It’s fast, easy to use and cleans up easily. Egg McMuffins are easy to make and cost about .87 to make including muffin, cheese, egg and Canadian bacon! Tastes better fresh! This pan is so much easier to use than trying to poach the egg. I even use the pan to scramble eggs for my dogs occasionally! Well worth the money!

Works perfectly in microwave quick and tasty

So quick and easy to use. Two eggs well beaten plus tomatoes, mince, herbs and onion. Five minutes later it's like an omelette but in a neat shape. Sometime I need to turn it over ad microwave a bit longer. Tasty quick and easy Nol mess No pan to wash.
