Love Live! School Idol Project: Season 1

I love "Love Live!" so much and wanted to support it by buying the Bluray but I was extremely disappointed by this purchase. Mainly, it's the English subtitles. The subtitles were poorly translated, overly complicated, and misinterprets the characters. I originally watched the show online and it had perfect subtitles. "Love Live" has a very specific tone that's light and heartwarming and I didn't get that with these subs.I understand this is a personal preference and it might seem like I'm exaggerating, but it really ruined my experience! I had to return it. If you feel as strongly about subbing, If you prefer dubs, go for it. But if you prefer subtitles, I suggest you buy the Bluray from Japan or stick to watching online.

'm almost embarrassed to admit I really like this show. It has a simple charm. Teenage Girls actually being girls without any "fanservice" or over the top nonsense. The characters feel believable and the music is good for what it is. You do have to tolerate subtitles. I don't believe that the regular TV series has ever been dubbed.Animation quality varies. Most of the character stuff is top notch. And some fo the musical numbers, such as the first season opening are amazing for how much motion they put into everything. How much depth they give to them. But for some other songs the parts where they use CGI take on a slightly pin headed proportion. It almost feels like they lifted segments from the video games.Overall a great watch. and an anime that you wont feel embarrassed to have watched.

This is a great package for anyone who really likes LOVE LIVE! IDOL PROJECT. This is a perfect with to anyone who wants to see a good anime I highly recommend anyone to buy it because I truly love this anime and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Definitely worth a watch and is a must-have for anime and idol fans!

女子高生がμ’sというアイドルグループを結成し、アイドル大会の優勝を目指す物語。そういうと嫌悪感を持つ人もいるけれど、中身は終始爽やかな青春ストーリーです。老若男女にお勧めできます。また声優もμ’sとして現実のライブを行なっているのも大きな特徴です。動画サイトでライブを視聴できますので、アニメと合わせてみると面白さ倍増です。このブルーレイは1期(13話)で、2期(13話)に続いていますので両方買われると良いです。
ところでこのブルーレイは英語音声も入っていますが、英語の声優さんも日本版に似せて演技されており、ローカライズのこだわりを感じます。「にっこにっこにー」とかすごいです。
また、Senpai(先輩)という敬称がそのまま英語でも使用されており驚きました。seniorとかupperclassmanという単語では日本独特の先輩後輩の概念を表現しきれないのだと思います。本作に限らず日本のアニメの多くに学校シーンが出てきますので、海外の人にもこういう日本の概念を知ってもらうと作品をより深く味わってもらえますね。

世間で一大ブームになり、紅白にも出場した当時は全く興味が沸かなかった。その後偶然にも続編をTVで観てしまい、クオリティの高い映像と聴いた瞬間耳に馴染むキャッチーな歌にすんなりと魅了させられてしまった。PS4で視聴OK。日本語音声、英字幕の消去もOK。ディスク2枚で1シーズン観れるのがとても快適。Amazonビデオよりも映像は遥かに鮮明。鮮明ゆえに続編と比較すると作画のクオリティ、特にライブシーンが気になってしまうのは致し方ない。見た目を裏切る熱血スポ根のようなストーリーとドタバタ展開の絶妙なバランス。それを彩る数々の印象的な歌とライブシーン。個性豊かなメンバーたちが目標に向かって全力で駆け抜ける物語は、何度観ても心躍らされる。必要無いと思っていた英語音声で、新たな面白さを発見したのは嬉しい収穫だった。

英語の勉強のために吹き替えが観たくて購入。PS4で正常に再生できます。英語字幕と音声が違うのが残念でしたが、意味合いからある程度スクリプトを推測できます。日本語特有のジョークが上手くいくローカライズされていて、その比較をするだけでも面白いです。以前限定版を購入したところ英語音声が入っていなかったので、学習目的ならこちらをオススメします。

コレクション用に一巻ずつ持っていますが、こちらは実用用に購入しました。一気に見られて便利ですね。画質も少し落ちますが、そこまで気になりませんでしたし全然問題ありません。お勧めです。
