With Cardinal Ventilation exceptional airflow performance, quality construction and an affordable price are just a few of the outstanding highlights. This self-flashing 30 watt solar attic fan with attic coverage of up to 2650 square feet and capacity up to 1650 CFM includes a thermal switch at no charge along with an adjustable impact resistant solar panel for maximum output with no wiring required. In addition, it is equipped with the highest performing 14" aluminum fan blade on the market - key to the performance of any solar attic fan, a high-efficiency variable speed DC motor, aircraft-grade spun aluminum hood, commercial grade black texture powder coated finish, stainless steel hardware, stainless steel rodent guard and no plastic. The size of the fan blade directly determines the amount of airflow that a fan produce. The larger the fan blade, the greater the airflow performance. Additionally, fan blades fall into two general categories: those made of aluminum and those that are plastic. Under hot conditions (like in an attic), plastic fan blades can deform over time and lose ridgity. This adversely effects the performance of the fan blade resulting in less airflow. Also, a venturi-style fan housing will always allow a fan to move more air than a straight cylinder fan housing due to air friction. Fans with venturi-style housings have a much larger roof hole cut-out in relation to the size of their fan blade to allow for more air intake, thus optimizing the fan's performance. A 15 year standard parts warranty comes with all Cardinal Ventilation products with the optional upgrade to a Limited Lifetime Warranty at time of product warranty registration via manufacturer's website. The worst part about this is 1) it only works at ...
Total waist of money in my opinion. The CFM in full sunlight is low and maybe would pull air about 10'-0 away. No way this is moving air out of my entire attic. The worst part about this is 1) it only works at 100% when having 100% direct sunlight, the speed cuts down or off if it becomes cloudy. 2) No backup battery so it only works when having direct sunlight so getting the hot air out after mid day is out.
