Need T8 Screwdriver
Easy enough, not of the highest quality but I was only replacing the shell cause the battery packs kept slipping off the back. If this is for your main controller just buy a reman or new.

Who designed this?
The d-pad is not even functional. It's supposed to clip onto the base and yet there are literally no square holes for the clips to go into. Look at an disassembly video of 360 wireless controllers and you'll see what I'm referring to. It doesn't even come with screws either. This is a waste of money.

Parts do not fit Xbox 360 controller. Complete waste of money. Do Not Buy!
buttons were too big for the holes in the shell. other parts were not compatible. ended up throwing it all in the trash. what a waste.

I bought this to update on of my controllers, the kit has performed exactly as expected and I would recommend it as it was definitely value for money
