A fun romp through childhood
This was a really good although very short MMPR graphic novel. I enjoyed the original photos of the cast in there as well as there bios. Also spoilers I did enjoy when they brought up things that as adults we realize in the show. Like how they always wore there power ranger color clothing. When they switch cloths Alpha 5 remarks should he call them by there cloths or there faces?

This is a brilliantly written comic - it could easily have been an episode from the show. The characters' personalities are just as they were on the show and I like the anime-influenced artwork. Highly recommend for all Ranger fans.

For the truest of fans
Few shows captured the imagination of children around the world as much as The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (if any). There's a reason the Power Rangers legacy continues today, still strong 21 years later. There is a universal charm to a series that flaunts good values, relatable conflict and sweet morphin/zord action. The good news about this first graphic novel entry is that the integrity of the show is well maintained. However, if you are looking for a conceptualized re-imagining of the series with character depth and sophisticated plot lines/twists, this isn't it.The good:- The artwork is well done. Great use of color and well-defined battle scenes.- Character portraits/biographies for each ranger in beginning of the book- Nostalgic and true to the show- $7-9 is very affordableThe bad:- Slow start- Quite short for a graphic novel (expect a length equal to 2-3 comics)- No depth to story/charactersThe author provides the story of how this graphic novel came to be at the end of the book. One of the publisher's goals was to create a graphic novel that is for all ages, that is also not a "kid book." He noted that many fans have grown up to now read comics meant for adults. Following my read of the graphic novel, it was a bit jarring to read the author's vision for the graphic novels. I thought, "How can you say that was intended for all audiences and not just kids?" In my opinion, a little bit of plot and mystery goes a long way, and this entry lacks just that. There are no spoilers to give away even if I wanted to with this one. But, I appreciate the trip to memory lane.My rating: 3.5/5

It's Morphin Time...
