Let me start by saying I’m a caffeine expert. I love everything caffeine. The watermelon flavor is not good, trust me. Im a huge fan of RUNA and usually opt for there orange flavor. It’s much cheaper to buy it through amazon in packs than individually at Whole Foods. I do not suggest buying the watermelon and I would recommend buying a different flavor. The energy buzz does work and help me improve my focus and concentration especially while studying for a graduate school entrance exam or an overnight at my job. I wouldn’t say you don’t crash but if you drink two in one day and not drink any the next day you do feel crappy, it’s not at all the same type of crash as red bull, and I highly recommend this over red bull. I used to drink red bull nonstop I’ve replaced it with RUNA and never looked back!

I absolutely love Runa, because it's very low in added sugars, but is organic, so they don't add sugar substitutes, which I cannot have. The flavor is subtle too, which I personally enjoy. I will always buy Runa as my only choice in energy drink!

I am devastated that Runa has been ruined. I’m so tired of big corps buying out small businesses and changing the product. I drank Runa for almost 10 years. It had no sugar, no stevia, and tasted slightly bitter and not sweet. It gave you excellent energy in a small can. I loved waking up and cracking open a can. I got pregnant and quit caffeine, and when I came back here to order I was met with this oversized cans of garbage. Added cane sugar AND stevia make these overly sweet. 4 extra ounces of liquid to drink for the same amount of caffeine! Who wants to drink all this liquid?! I emailed the company several times. By the looks of it their reviews are tanking and they only sell on Amazon. They will be out of business if they don’t change back. Who the heck came up with the idea to wreck this company as a good business decision?! And why are they not listening to their consumers!?! If your looking for the guayusa, try Guru the tropical punch one. They just came out with it and it has some in there along with green tea. I’m going to write them and see if they will make one with just guayusa. Can’t hurt to try. RUNA BRING BACK YOUR OLD PRODUCT!!

Alas, we caffeine addicts don’t care about flavor. All we care about is that sweet, caffeinated energy elixir trickling down our throat so it can cross our blood brain barrier for the next fix.This does the job. Not 5 stars, but good clean energy without a hard crash/too many trips to the bathroom. I’m a 3-4 cups of coffee a day person and I could do with 2-3 of these. Is that bad? Idk. See for urself

Drifted away from Runa for awhile, and got hooked on trying the other energy drinks, with low quality vitamins and Aminos, massive amounts of artificial sweeteners. These just caused too many issues, went back to the natural stuff. Seems to be harder to get ahold of now, hope that changes.

I'm used to drinking the Runa w/ 10 calories so this might simply be me being too sensitive to sweetness, but while the cherry flavor is good (reminds me of cherry cola) the overall flavor is way too sweet w/ a stevia aftertaste. I'd prefer having the cherry flavor sweetened w/ 5g of sugar and no stevia. Other people may disagree w/ this though. I am going to try the other flavors to see if they're any better. If not, then I'll be going back to the old 10 calorie formula for as long as those are available

So it does taste a little bit like grass, not exactly desirable. But it gives me caffeine and actually makes me feel pretty good. Also no crummy chemicals. They do get dented in shipping.

I don't understand some of the negative comments on here, this stuff is great! Good kick of energy that lasts the whole day with no crash. I've tried both the lime and blood orange flavor and love them both. None of the sugar and chemicals that Redbull and all the other normal energy drinks have plus all the benefits of the antioxidants in the guayusa leaf, what's not to like. No it is not sweet..hence the word unsweetened, but if you like tea and you like sparkling water it's pretty much a combination of the two flavor wise. If you are expecting a super sweet drink then buy something else or try the naturally sweetened berry flavor.
