Easy to rip and very sticky without leaving residue. It actually does what they claim!

This is great double sided tape . When you can't screw a jig down but need it to stay in place for routing or cutting purposes . This tape holds fast . You can even get a second sticking out of it if the tape stays dust free . It is pricey but in my opinion worth the cost . Nothing worse than your jig moving in the middle of a cut . Been using this tape in a professional cabinet shop for over a year and trust it not to fail and it hasn't .

Stuff is fantastic. Very good adhesion, but the backing is even stronger, so when you pull it off, it pops off, and you can peel it like gummy rubber and leaves no residue behind. I don't know why this isn't sold everywhere.

I use this tape for many aspects of woodworking. Temporarily attaching templates to wood pieces is one of the main ones. The tape does what you want to do, but detaching the paper backing from the tape itself is harder than it should be. When you tear off a piece, the paper backing is almost the same shape as the tape itself, making it very difficult to separate the two. If they would just put a hairline cut in the center of the backing on the tape, it would be MUCH easier to separate the tape from the backing. If they did this, I'd rate it 5+ stars!

This tape worked great. It holds like...well...tape. Seriously, it held extremely well with zero side to side shift. It's thin enough so that side to side movement doesn't happen like on some of the thicker carpet tapes. Easy to tear without having to resort to scissors.You don't need much at all. I used it to hold two pieces of Walnut together which were approximately 10" square. Used two strips about 5 inches long each. Too much, only needed about half that or less. Took me a while to pry them apart when I was done with having them together. When I did, though, there was zero adhesive left on the wood. Nothing to clean up. This alone is worth the entry price.

Not good for woodworking to thin. Great for paper

This review is for woodworkers who are looking for temporary tape to align patterns, bandsaw boxes, etc.I did the carpet tape thing. Such a pain in the neck to get that backing off and it left so much glue on the wood.I tried the blue tape and instant adhesive trick. Four steps to get two pieces of wood together was just too finicky. And having the glue drip just a bit during squeeze onto that activator and your surfaces are ruined.Then I found this stuff. It is brown paper with minimal glue. The wax paper backing comes off trivially - no razor blades required! The hold is great and it leaves almost no glue on the surface. I'd argue it leaves as little or less than painters tape.Buy it. You will love it.

Bought this for use when wood working. Hold stuff together temporarily and also attached wood shims to clamps. Excellent adhesion

I purchased this tape after watching Jodie of Inspire woodcraft. I am very pleased with my purchase. Intertape 591 is a great product for woodworking applications, it is strong and adheres well to both wood and metal and easy to remove.

I needed to make some thin wooden spacers.Set my table saw fence and used this tape to attach the thin strips to a larger piece and ran them through, taking just a bit off.I was also able to do more than one piece with the same piece of tape. 'Cause I'm cheap - I mean frugal.Saved my fingers.The tape is a bit thicker than masking tape.

I work a lot on guitars and need double sided tape for a number of applications from router templates to sand paper for fret levelling...works perfect without sticky residue.
