We recently relocated to a home on an Intracoastal Waterway and needed a sturdier rod and reel setup for fishing from our dock. This pole was great, and I do mean great. First time fishing of the shore ofr sea of cortez and it did not disappoint!!!! I brought some extra lures and I caught fish Everytime I decided to fish!!!! Ten out of ten, I recommend!!!!!

Really good rod, I like to use it for catfishing, it fights them well and I like to heard the drag pull when they first bite. Caught my pb channel catfish on this rod at 25 pounds😁

It’s a great combo if you’re on a budget. The rod is great, the reel doesn’t click when drag is being pulled out so it’s hard to tell when line is being pulled out. I’d recommend replacing the reel for a better one.

I give this rod 5 stars because of its functionality compared to the price. With that said, this is not a high end rod, but it does work just as good as its $100 - $150 counter parts. I purchased the saltwater version because I primarily target striper this time of year. On the first day I received it, I cast it about 100 times with no issues and caught two stripers (pictures). Again, this is not a high end rod, so don’t expect to preform like its higher end counterparts. However, it does what it is made for. I would recommend changing out the prespooled mono line with braided line for better casting (the picture is with the braided that I had changed out). The mono line it comes with works fine, that’s what I caught the pictured stripper with, but it doesn’t cast very far with mono. It comes with a 7 year warranty on the rod. Also if you don’t like it, then your only out $36. Great backup rod also. Enjoy!

Theres no way a 50 dollar pole could actually be good until i used this. I bought 2 of them expecting one 2 break. Me and my girlfriend went on a boat and went saltwater fishing and caught around 25 scup

This rod has been great so far. Compact design makes it easy to store and carry around, it seems durable, operation is smooth and it is very light and easy to use . If it dose break I would buy another.

Impressive as always. Landed so many stripers with this rod, never had a problem. Landed a 30 incher, 40incher and 60 incher, handled it like a mackerel. Combo is pretty solid, Ugly Stik never failed me.
