Are the tablets vegan/vegetarian?

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and showing interest in our product. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you

Great question and we do get this often, this is indeed a complex topic that generates differing opinions. The determination of whether an item is suitable for vegetarians largely depends on personal beliefs and interpretations of what constitutes vegetarianism.

In the case of our product, the calcium source is derived from oyster shells. It's important to emphasise that the oyster shells we use are procured without causing harm to the oysters themselves and no animal flesh is involved in the process. The shells are usually a by-product of the seafood industry, and using them in this manner contributes to waste reduction.

However, we recognise that some individuals who adhere to strict vegetarian or vegan lifestyles might view the consumption of any product derived from an animal as non-vegetarian, regardless of whether the animal was harmed or not.

In essence, we've designated our product as vegetarian because we believe it aligns with a broad interpretation of vegetarianism, which allows for the use of animal-derived products so long as they do not involve harm to the animal. Nevertheless, we understand that personal definitions of vegetarianism vary and encourage consumers to make a choice based on their own principles and dietary guidelines.

We hope this information helps. Thank you again for your interest.

Best regards,
