Natural Hog Sausage Casings for Deer Pork Beef Elk Moose Links

First, what I received was NOT the Dewied brand and we're not as pictured. What I did receive was a similar size bag of hog casings packed and sold by the Overseas Casing Co LLC. I could NOT be happier!!! The OCC casings were absolutely perfect in every way. They were preflushed and packaged in a clear airtight vacuum bag with a salt solution. Relevant Backstory Interlude Time: I ordered a 2 pack of the Dewied hog casings which indicate they are made in the US or Mexico. The twin pack I got said Product of US, Mexico, or China. Packaged in China. Those are being returned, and I searched hard for Made in US hog casings, and found them in the current description for this item. I immediately placed the order and expedited shipping as I'd planned to make and stuff 20lbs of brats, etc. I received the package quickly and in time to make sausage, but very minimal info about source, package origin, etc. Went to the Overseas Casing Co LLC website and found great relief to see these are indeed a product of the US. So, on to the casings I received. The BEST EVER!!!! I opened the top of the bag with a knife, crossed my fingers, opened the bag and took a deeeeep sniff. FRESHNESS!!!! CLEANLINESS!!! There is ZERO smell in these whatsoever, no joke, no exaggeration! It just smelled clean and fresh. The hanks are strung through a red plastic ring so you can grab the ring in the soak bowl and easily pull out one long hank of casing. They are well strung and untangled, take your time organizing them in your soak bowl. The casings themselves were brilliant and absolutely flawless, not a single hole, tear, or issue in 20lbs of brats, bangers, and Italians. These are a fantastic brand if you get the Overseas Casing brand, they're a North American source for hog casings. I will never use another brand for the 32mm hog casings, these are the Rolls Royce of natural casings. When you find something that works this good, and is of this quality, you have no reason to look elsewhere. Follow up praise: I've since had opportunity to enjoy the products of my labor, what incredible casings! So tender, I cooked my bangers on med-low heat in a stainless pan with a spritz of pan release and a dash of oil. Using a cover on the pan, turning often, in ~5 minutes I had the most perfect sausages I've ever had. Casings were tender, browned, crisped, and fully intact. I honestly can't say enough good about the Overseas Casing Co casings, they are absolutely perfect and a 100% USA product. Get some for your next sausage product, you will be thrilled.

I use these all the time for sausages. Very little to no holes and breakage. Good casings.

I’ve been stuffing sausage for 45+ years and these casing by far are the best I’ve ever used. Stuffed 175 lbs yesterday and not a single pinhole or tear! Love it! Will definitely be buying them again!

These hog casings come untangled, I made an entire batch of deer sausage and not a single bust. Very strong and no short casings. This is the only ones I will buy. Lem and Sausage Maker were both disappointments.

best I ever use in over 40 years of sausage making

I didn't think they were any longer then what I usually get, there were some that were scrapped a little thin and they broke quite easily when used. I was somewhat disappointed though that I didn't get the 125# of sausage out of them as I got the impression from the description I read when I bought them. All said I will however, try them again in the future.
