This is a must-have for any parent, or anyone who is required to cover outlets, such as foster parents. These outlet cover plates are great for toddlers! Our toddler figured out how to pull out those plastic plug-in protectors. There is a previous review where someone is complaining about how they dislike the fact that when they vacuum the plug can slip out the prong. To be quite frank, with enough force any plug will pull out the prong. This to me seems like a first world problem.These outlet plates do what they are supposed to do, PROTECT YOUR BABY/TODDLER. They retract back to safety position which is awesome!

Plates come with brown screw. Paint on the screw chips immediately and it is then silver. They're quite wide still, so not all plugs sit securely in them and the cord falls out. I was only able to use 2/6 because of that issue.

We actually wanted these to change our outlet color quickly without messing with wiring. Worked like a charm.

I highly recommend that you do NOT buy these. They installed easily and look great, but are NOT functional! Any cord that is a 2 prong and not a 3 prong will not stay in unless you hold it. 3 prong plugs stay in for a few minutes then pop out. Really wish I had not purchased these. Unfortunately, it was outside of the return window when I realized how ineffective they are.

These outlet covers are pure LIFE! I was in a constant state of distress with my 14 month old son pulling out all the cheap outlet inserts and putting them in his mouth, trying to put them back in the outlets, laughing when I was obviously not impressed! These are very affordable, and after I did some research I decided to go with this company for the awesome reviews and price! I now no longer have to worry and follow my son around the house frustrated and constantly badgering him with "no's", "stop's", and "baby please's" and just being an outright nag! He took one look at these and never has bothered with them again! This product is a life saver!Update: docking a star because anything I plug into these outlets do indeed come out very easily and it can be frustrating when you're trying to vacuum or steam mop as any little movement of the cord causes it to become dislodged. As far as a child deterrent, my now 16 month old still isn't able to put anything in the outlets which was the main reason for purchase. Just never let them see how you work child proofing devices and that will definitely keep those things less easily figured out.

The only downfall was the screws were bright white instead of the matching brown. I just had to get out a magic marker & color the screws brown. Other than that... I use these outlet covers over every outlet. They work great!

Decor rather than child safety was the motivation for buying this outlet cover. I have a stone fireplace in my living room with an electric outlet over the mantel so that someone could mount a flat-screen TV there. Unfortunately the outlet and original outlet plate were white and clashed with the color of the stone. The brown outlet cover goes well with the stone and completely hides the white outlet.
