My favorite thing about these sponges is the high density which minimizes how much liquid foundation they drink up. These will last you a long time and the price is incredible.

I bought these after trying at least three other make up blenders, and these are by far the best. I never tried the original beauty blender because of the high price point for one, but I think these must work just as well, for a fraction of the cost. I tried at least two other similar sponge blenders and they worked pretty well, but with those, 1) I felt like they sucked up a lot of makeup, even damp, and 2) I felt like the sponge broke down and developed "splits" in the foam after only a few weeks. Given the price, I would have been satisfied with that, but then I stumbled upon these almost 6 months ago, and realized I had wasted money on those other products. These are fantastic. Seriously, I purchased these in March -Its now October- and I still have one left in the package, and only just started using the 4th one so I have a while to go before I'm out. I'm purchasing a new set right now though, which made me think to write this review. I believe some people use these dry, but I always use them wet; I think it helps with not sucking up so much make up to use a damp sponge. I also think it helps really blend the foundation into my skin (I tried those silicone ones and bleh! It was like mopping makeup all over my face, I could not get the makeup to blend smoothly!). I also think it helps to keep my face looking moisturized throughout the day. I have problem skin, with hormonal acne around my period, and cystic pimples that come out when I'm stressed (which is often) and I use a lot of strong treatments on my face (salicylic acid, benzyl peroxide, tea tree oil, etc.) that can result in drying, peeling skin, and I feel like this sponge helps apply over these areas smoothly. I also tend to end up with scabs and think that the sponge also does a reasonable job to help camouflage these spots with concealer. I use the sponge each morning to put on my liquid foundation and sometimes concealer. I use an antibacterial gel soap (from bath and body works!) to gently work out the old makeup every day; it takes about 30 seconds, and it cleans up, almost like new each time. The only reason why I switch every 4-6 weeks is because the sponge will eventually develop cracks from daily use and cleaning, which doesn't allow the makeup to apply as smoothly. What is kind of strange is that I noticed that the pink ones seem to hold up and clean up much better than the other colors. Maybe that is just a coincidence. Overall, at $2.00 a sponge, I could not be happier. I have encouraged my sisters to purchase these, and encourage anyone reading to purchase as well. I really don't know how I ever applied makeup with my fingers!

Let me start by saying I love makeup. I have done makeup for weddings and many formal events, which means I am always keeping my eyes peeled for quality products. For that reason, I love these beauty blenders and will repurchase them indefinitely. For the price they just can't be beat. Prior to these sponges I was using the Real Techniques beauty sponges and I liked them, but would find that they would fall apart so soon. These Beakey sponges feel high-end and I am not disappointed. I love to wash my beauty blender before every makeup application, and these beauty blenders have held up so well with no tearing or flaking, even after 2 months (considering that I wash it everyday, this is amazing to me). The size of the sponge is very universal. I get my clean beauty blender damp (not wet) and I use it to apply my foundation, concealer, and then set with powder. Works great with cream, liquid, and dry products when sponge is damp! A heads up as you are first adjusting to this product: The sponges need a little bit of "breaking into". Before using it the first time, I washed it well under warm/hot water and it helped loosen the sponge. The longer I have used it the more soft it has become. Before breaking it in, however, I noticed no difference in how well the sponge worked or how it applied the makeup, just how the sponge felt. My washing technique: I wash under running hot/warm water and rub it into a bar of soap (I use the Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar) and squeeze out the makeup, working in small sections of the sponge at a time. After makeup color is gone, the sponge has that fresh, bounce-back clean feel just as it was new. To apply makeup, I take the clean, wet sponge and squeeze it in a clean cloth until it is just damp. With the sponge damp, it works wonders to achieve flawless, cake-less makeup every time; whether I'm going for a full face or a natural look, it does it all.

These are the perfect sponginess and consistency you're looking for in a makeup sponge. I have hated searching for that right texture and only having luck half the time they are alse very cheap for five of them. Sephora is taking it IN with their prices.

Éponges efficaces pour le fond de teint liquide et l’anti cernes liquide. Un peu moins pour le blush en crème pour moi. Elles sont plus rigides que celles de la marque très connue (testée) et le resultat final après avoir estompé est meilleur. Le teint se fond vraiment bien pareil pour l’anti cernes. Elles n’absorbent pas plus que l’éponge de la marque très connue. Elles semblent être beaucoup plus solides (moins de risque de déchirures). Elles gonflent presque jusqu’à doubler de leur volume initial. Donc si vous cherchez à être précise, je vous conseille d’utiliser la pointe de l’éponge ou carrément d’acheter une éponge plus petite. Attention, comme indiqué dans la notice, il faut bien les laver avant utilisation car odeurs « chimiques » et colorants (?? Qui ne colorent plus après). Je recommande ce produit pour son efficacité à prix attractif.

Ho acquistato la Beauty Blender un po’ scettica, ma devo dire che ha superato ogni aspettativa. La spugnetta è morbidissima, si espande perfettamente una volta bagnata e applica il fondotinta in modo uniforme e naturale, senza lasciare striature. La forma a goccia è comodissima: la parte tonda è ideale per tutto il viso, mentre la punta permette di raggiungere con precisione le zone più piccole come il contorno occhi e il naso. Ho provato anche ad usarla per il correttore e il blush in crema: risultato impeccabile!

Won't last as long as a beautyblender, and honestly it's sad to see how many you gotta throw while the BB lives on.
