Which rs-232 lines it gets power from. txd? cts? rts? which ones? my application has only txd, rxd and gnd. will it work?

The device needs power. does it get it from the rs-485 signal lines, from the rs-232 lines, or where? if from the rs-232 lines, whiich ones?

The RS 232 to 485 adapter is port-powered, normally external power supply is not required. But if you need additional power supply as your case may be, please check the "VCC" pin on the breakout connector, which will allows you to add a DC 7-9V power supply to it.
