One of those annoying challenges all of us face on a daily basis is attaching our cable trays securely to our server racks. And especially in high-seismic-activity locales like California, you don't want your cable trays just sliding around every time you have a silly little 3.0.Well, these J Bolts are what you need. In fact, they're more than what you need. They're long enough to hook around the ladder rack, go clean through your server rack, and still have a bunch of length left over. None of that irritating chicken-and-egg problems that you experience with shorter, less expensive J Bolts where you can only get the J Bolt to reach through the server rack after you've threaded and tightened the J Bolt to pull the cable tray to your server rack.Seriously, these things do play nice with ladder rack like http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012NIKZ6/. Their length is a mixed blessing: it does make threading everything together really easy, but at the end of the day you may wind up with several inches of extra bolt length that has to go somewhere. So long as you have room for the excess bolt length, these things are great.

Needed for my garage door spring as a retainer bolt. Works fine and has matching nut. Easier at Amazon that wandering at the big box stores.
