Question 1

Will this work with a ssd Sandisk from MacBook retina ? 12 x 16 pins

Accepted Answer

I'm pretty sure it will not.I have seen advertised "12+16 Pins SSD to M.2 (NGFF) PCI-e Adapter Converter" Support Model: :
2013 Macbook Pro A1493 A1502 ( MD864 MD865 MD293 Md294) SSD
2013 MacBook Pro retina A1398 A1502 (ME864 ME865 ME866 ME293 ME294) SSD
2013 Macbook Air A1465 A1466 ( MD711 MD712 MD760 MD761) SSD
2014 Macbook Air A1465 A1466 ( MD711 MD712 MD760 MD761) SSD
2014 MacBook Pro retina A1502 A1398 (MGX72 MGX82 MGX92 MGXA2 MGXC2) SSD
2015 MacBook Pro retina A1502 A1398(MF839 MF840 MF841 MGXA2 MGXC2) SSD
2015 MacBook Air A1465 A1466 (MJVM2 MJVP2 MJVE2 MJVG2) and Mac Pro ME253 MD878 SSD

Notes:
Please make sure the size of adapter card for your computer!Because adapter card + SSD, size is bigger than standard M.2 NGFF solid-state drives.
Pleae make sure the M.2 NGFF port of computer supports PCIe X4 or PCIe X2 transfer mode(The speed of SSD can reduce 50% if M.2 NGFF SSD port only supports PCIe X2 transfer mode)!M.2,SATA3 4/5 and SATA Express port of the motherboard can only choose one to use, otherwise it will cause hard disk can't identify.

Question 2

Can the total free enclosure fit a wd black sn750 with heatsink? thanks.

Accepted Answer

1) Probably not, but why would you need a heatsink on it if you're putting it in a heatsink enclosure? 2) This enclosure has issues inherent to the design which causes communication errors, I'd recommend getting something else.

Question 3

Does it work as enclosure for a MacBook Pro retina 15” 2012 ssd? (7+17 pin connector)

Accepted Answer

No it is only compatible with M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD's.

Question 4

as its clicked closed, anyone have any issues with the enclosure opening unexpectedly?

Accepted Answer

The Sabrent USB C inclosure that I have has been fine. I have not used it that much so I do not know of continued use. I have found that the clip that holds the M.2 Drive is awkward to get into place to hold down the drive. The inclosure seems well made I do not see that there should be a problem.
