DEWALT 20V MAX* Cordless Drill, 1/2-Inch, Tool Only (DCD777B)

I bought this drill to add to my tool set. . It works great and has plenty of power for my remodeling project. It has plenty of power and I have been using it to drill a lot of 1/2" and 1 inch holes on lumber. I recommend this drill it is great addition to my Dewalt tool set.

Nice drill for the money, my last drill was mainly used for installing screws and I was very impressed after 10 years of use.

This is my second drill of this model. The first one I bought in 2013. Twelve years of pretty heavy use from drilling up to 1/2” holes in steel to building decks and only using deck mate screws. I know I dropped it several times over the years and never had one problem with it. Recently it finally gave up the ghost. I looked high and low and found an identical replacement here on Amazon. The motor in this drill is brushless so you’ll have better performance and longer use. Doesn’t drain the battery as fast. For best performance pair it up with a 20/60 volt battery. Makes the drill a bit heavier but you won’t be chasing down a battery as often.

I am a home remodeler and use my tools a bunch. I returned the lesser priced Dewalt drill recently because the motor was inferior. This is more expensive by about $50 but I guess with Dewalt you now need to bypass the lesser expensive models and go to their top of the line models. Time will tell but I expect this one will do the trick. Same day delivery was awesome.

It’d be a five star as the product is just fine, works as expected, in new condition except that it came without a box! Normally, dewalt tools come in their characteristic yellow box with black writing. This did not. Instead, the tool sat loose, albeit wrapped in plastic, inside the Amazon box. Now, it says “tool only” but normally when I buy a dewalt tool like that, “tool only” means “no accessories”, not “no box”. Weird.

I bought one of these a year ago and wanted to have another, so I did not have to change bits so often. Now I can load one with a drill bit and another with the driver bit and I reduced my time significantly as I did not have to stop and change one bit for another or have it fall out of the magnetic extension. These two together make my work go so smoothly now and the brushless feature really keeps them working even on the toughest jobs. I had the batteries already on hand so now there is no wasted time, and I get my jobs completed so much quicker. Afterall -- time is money!

It is another quality drill from DeWalt, fairly light , and much better that the 18 volt versions.

I bought this to replace my original which I have had for many years - the transmission finally went into retirement. This replacement is performing just as well.

I received the drill wrapped in a plastic bag!!! Shipped from US to KSA - anyhow it’s working just fine.
