I only recently realized what I need to look for to find a ball cap that fits the way I want it to. The vast majority of people don't seem to be concerned with these issues, so they aren't really addressed in the description of most caps. I just want a hat that fits fairly close to my head, following the contour of my dome pretty closely, so that when I'm wearing it, the bottom of the cap doesn't push my ears out. This is almost astonishingly difficult for me to find. This hat comes close enough that I'll give it 5 stars even though I would prefer it to have a slightly shallower crown. I've worn so many hats that fit me poorly, I didn't realize that some might fit much better. Most have a crown that is so high that when I try to seat the hat firmly on my head, my ears get pushed out so far they look more like tiny wings (not that tiny, actually). Then I happened to buy a hat at random at a sporting goods store, and the shape of the crown was similar enough to the shape of my head that I could wear it snugly enough to keep it on in a strong wind without having to adjust a strap, or wear a size that is uncomfortably small. So now I look for "low profile" or "low crown" or something equivalent. But the description is often inaccurate, and almost no hats include any measurements that could help determine how they will fit. It's pretty simple; just "crown height" in inches, cm whatever. An illustration with measurements of different hat dimensions. But oddly, really rare. So I look for photos showing how they fit on someone's head, which are also harder to find than I expected. So I relied on some comments from buyers who mentioned the low profile shape. (Your reviews matter! LOL) Yeah, I guess this just isn't something that matters to most people, or most just happen to fall into the "typical" range occupied by most hats. And yeah, leaving some space inside the hat might make it cooler or more comfortable or provide some other benefit. Personal preferences. Anyway, I was glad to find something pretty close to what I wanted. It's also nice and light for warm weather (or hard workouts at the gym) and the elastic providing the stretch seems unusually comfortable. So, lots to like and not much to complain about. BTW, measuring was not as simple and easy as I thought it would be. Takes some dexterity. I think my best approximation would be a tape measure along the curve of the interior, basically the part of the hat's circumference that covers the head--approx 12.5 inches. I'd estimate the crown height at 4 inches.

This is a well made cap, that fits well. Slightly lighter weight than expected but ideal for three season use.

Cool nice looking cap, I like it a lot. Only issue is that there isn’t a hole at the rear like other caps, so that I can hook it to my bag or hang it securely when not wearing.
