A lot easier than expected, both the puzzle and finding Waldo
I got this for my Mom as a gag gift. She likes puzzles. But she likes 500-piece puzzles. I thought it would be funny to get her a 1000-piece Where's Waldo puzzle. The puzzle is easier than most 500-piece puzzles. The art style of Where's Waldo makes it much easier to find what it is you're looking for. For contrast, the last puzzle we did was a Christmas manger scene. You pick up a brown piece in that one, and you don't know if it's the cow, the camel, the manger, the trees... But with this puzzle, the details are small enough that you can pick up an individual piece and have a pretty good idea where it goes. Especially since a lot of them have small people on them, and you can tell right away which direction is up. For example, if there's boots with legs sticking up out of them, you know the legs are most likely up. (Unless the person is doing a headstand, of course). This actually made the puzzle a LOT more fun. Instead of trying to find the right shade of brown for this particular piece, we were able to look through the puzzle and most times figure out where a piece was supposed to go. It was a lot more satisfying to find "red arm next to pink skirt" than "finally found the right brown and sky piece to be the top of this camel." Incidentally, Waldo was very easy to find, because we were looking at all of the pieces individually. We just had to find the piece with Waldo! I do wish they had placed him somewhere else, and had him split up on multiple pieces. It still would have been easy to find, but at least there would have been some work involved. If what you want is a hard puzzle, this isn't the right one for you. It was one of the easier puzzles I've done. But it was more fulfilling, because I felt rewarded for finding where pieces go, instead of just lucky I finally got the right one. This was a gag gift, but instead ended up being a great one!

In Soviet Russia, Waldo finds you.
Good quality puzzle. Only issue is the giant Waldo blocking a chunk of the reference picture on the front of the box. Fairly ironic for the man who hides to instead block your view. But there is a tinier version on the back for ants, or you can use your phone or in this case, we have a Waldo book at home with the illustration. Otherwise, good.

There's no good picture of the finished puzzle to reference
I truly enjoyed working on this puzzle but was frustrated by the lack of a solid reference for what the finished product would look like. The front of the box has a decent sized picture but it is not complete due to the presence of Waldo on the left hand side covering up a portion of the puzzle. The back of the box does have a full picture but the picture is not the full size of the box therefore very very hard to see given the extreme details. The detailed picture is part of the challenge but without a good reference point it was more frustrating than it needed to be.

Fun Puzzle, poor quality control
Puzzle was fun and challenging. Two negatives: 1) Missing Pieces: When we finished the puzzle there were two pieces missing - very disappointing quality control. 2) Pictures: The picture on front of box has a big Waldo hiding the left side of much of the puzzle. The back cover picture was very small and colors were often not accurate. Really could use an insert picture that can be used as reference.

Great puzzle - no missing pcs - low dust
Great puzzle - no missing pcs - low dust. Sturdy cardboard, clear picture. The only minor issue is the picture on the front of the box is partially blocked by Waldo. I went online and found the full picture so I could zoom in on my phone.

Looks fantastic
Pieces fit well, challenging, colourful, funny. It only took my daughter (older teen) a few days to finish it but she is very good at puzzles, so if you are an expert too, be ready
