Let it do the hard part for you
Worked like a champ right out of the box, transfered 50 gallons of dirsel without a problem. Took hours to do it with a hand pump. Reached almost the whole way to the bottom of a 150 gallon truck tank. Hand pumped the last gallon or so. I'm ok with that

Very useful and reliable
This pretty much does what it is supposed to do, and it does it reasonably quickly. I haven't actually timed the the float, but it doesn't seem to take long to pump out a 5 gallon gas can. Good build quality and easy to use even with gloves on. It takes 2 D batteries which are very easy to get in and out. I had one of these before which got lost when me recently moved. We used it a lot, and it took a while to find this one with the extra long telescoping suction tube to use with my 5 gallon gas cans. Way better than trying to pour, but mostly spilling 5 cans weighing 40 pounds when full, with molded, mostly useless "handle" indentations. .I also ordered the 10' hose because the big cans are also unwieldy in the snow around a vehicle or machine that has run out of gas and I can't always find a good spot close the fill spout to set the tank at the right angle to get the pump suction line to the lowest point to get all of the gas.The long hose probably reduces the flow rate a little bit, but the real drawback is that there is a lot of gas left over in the hose after the transfer to spill on the driveway or in the garage. It is easy to think you have gotten all of the gas out of the hose unless you can reach 10' high.Overall a good buy, reliable, good performer, and worth the extra $ for the long hose in my situation. If your situation is different you don't need the long hose. We will; probably buy some moe of these for different fluids.

Seems to be a winner
I hesitate to offer a product review until i have used a product for a reasonable amount of time but i thought my first impressions of this pump might be helpful to someone else.As others have said, the hose is what it is. Its not made to provide heavy duty daily work at a car repair shop. That said, it should be fine for the home. The pump itself is all plastic much like every other product on the planet these days but its heavy plastic and overall this pump seems well built. When i say its all plastic there is one exception. The pump cover at the bottom of the suction tube is metal. It took about 4 hours to fully charge the battery. There is no cable provided for this but its simply a mini usb. If you dont have one of those laying around somewhere your either over 85 years old or desperately poor in which case you wouldn't have bought a hundred dollar pump to begin with.Im old and fat and tired and holding onto a five gallon gas can while a piddly stream of gas flows into my tractor is difficult and cuts into my beer time so........this thing is awesome.Dropped it in the can, hit the switch, squeezed the nozzle and filled my tractor in like 2 minutes. Very quiet, strong stream and a nice surprise at the end.I didn't really have to fish the dang thing around inside the can, in fact i never moved it. It nearly emptied the can. Just a little bit left after i drained what was left in the hose back into the can. Sweet!!

Pump is good. Hose lasts only a few months - then leaks.
Pumps diesel well and saves lifting cans to pour into tractor. As advertised. Problem is that the hose is very flimsey and has developed a leak in just a few months. I will try to find a replacement hose, but no luck so far. It's no good without the hose.

Small and practical gasoline pump
Easy to operate. Pumps very fast. Hope it will last, it seems to be well constructed.

Died just before one year can't get ahold of company but only thru a voice mail.
TERA PUMP TREP03-TXL Died just BEFORE a year. First thing that went wrong within the first few uses was the a/c 120v to 12V adapter/transformer died. I accounted it to power outages/surges but none of my other transformers alike died. About 2 months ago I noticed the pump was not running smooth and I accounted it to the standalone car battery I was using not being well charged up. Well today it just stopped just a few days before it goes out of warranty. It has NEVER been abused/left running dry I ALWAYS stand with it when pumping gasoline and only gasoline. I pump pretty much always full 5 gallon cans one or two at a time one after the other as I transfer it all to my vehicles/equipment.Went to contact them about this and the 877 number was answered quickly by a machine with a basic as can be message basically saying leave a message. Not identifying who I was calling just a generic message and a beep. This is ridiculous. Its a simple pump and switch encased by plastic. The pump in it should last for decades. I would not doubt that the pump in this is like the pre pumps in my old BMWs where most have ORIGINAL pumps in them from the 1980's. And this 100.00+ simple pump thing can't last a year!? If not planned obsoleteness somebody dropped the ball.I see others have had the same problem and that the seller/company has made things right AS THEY SHOULD. I hope someone comes my way and does the same. If I don't hear from someone who can make this right within the seller/company I will try Amazon.ALSO I don't use this daily its MAYBE twice a month IF THAT. It's been about 4 hours and nobody has called me back from the 877 number.

Works great!
I just received my second pump because they’re so handy to have. One for diesel and one for gas. No more messing with the stupid plastic pour spouts. Very nice if you have a tractor with the fill cap is high off the ground.Ps: my first pump I used with diesel and gas with not issue.
