Great replacement for an old
After using a very old Sony headset for years, which finally gave out was really happy with this product. First it plugs into my also old iPod and the sound is great.

Great DJ Headphones!
I really love these Sennheiser HD 25 DJ Headphones and gotta give them five stars all the way! The sound they make is super clear, so I can hear every little detail in the music, which is just what I need when I’m mixing tunes. They block out background noise really well too, so I can stay focused on my work and not get distracted by what’s going on around me. Also, they seem really sturdy and well-made, so I think they’re going to last a long time even if I use them every day. I’m super happy with them and don’t plan on buying any other kind of headphones for my DJ gigs. If you’re looking for some good headphones for DJing, you should definitely check these out!

Now I can understand why they are the industry standard.
They are a great pair of monitoring headphones. I mainly use them for Djing, Music Production and Reference, rarely listen to music with them, but if you have to they're okay. The sound quality is great and now I can understand why they are the industry standard of headphones for DJs, the highs are good, the mids sounds a bit turn down and the bass is okay, but I don't really like as it is, I've tweak them with Sound ID Reference and EQ programs/apps to my liking, but as I never use them to casual/usual listen I don't bother with that. Maybe the AIAIAI are more into my preferred sound curve to enjoy music. Speaking of comfort, they really aren't comfortable when you wear them for 1 hour or an hour and a half and for me starts to hurt on my ears, you can change that swapping the earpads. Beside the few negative things I highlighted , they are a great pair in the range of the price, if you really wanted them try to get them on sale, worth the wait.

I've missed these so much
I used a pair of these for years when I was younger. I got sick of replacing the cable (which you will have to do every so often if you use these headphones heavily) and regrettably replaced them. These are lighter, far more comfortable and built better than the budget JVC headphones I've been using for the past several years (model no. is worn off, they were highly recommended for the sound quality to price ratio, but those JVC's were creaky, which I lived with but won't miss at all). Best of all, the sound quality is better, especially on the mid to high end and these aren't even broken in yet. Lastly, these are now almost half the price I paid over a decade ago for the same headphones and I'm pleased that they're still made in Europe (Romania).

Great sounding work horse. Super light, comfortable. Works fine on phone without amp.
These, sound wise, are on par with the Momentum 2s or the HD599s or the AKG K451s. If you're familiar with those and like the sound signature, you'll get more of the same with the HD25s. I found the clamping a bit much out of the box but gently stretching the headband reduces the clamping. I like the adjustable split headband. I like that nearly every part is replaceable. I'm not wild about the stock ear pads and plan to replace those soon with something plusher. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this model again and certainly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great portable sound. I've played it through my headphone amp, my receiver, my television, and my telephone. It performs well on all. This model really excels with flacs, compact discs, or hi rez streaming. The sound is energetic yet balanced and easily heard in loud environments like public transport or airplanes. The soundstage is virtually non-existent but I barely noticed because the sound is so wonderfully tuned. The HD 25 handles all genres well. I've been able to wear these headphones for a few hours at a time. YMMV.

Great bass for an inexpensive headphone
Although the cups are a little small in my view, the bass delivery did not disappoint. Good clarify of the mids and highs as well. Certainly value for money.

Best decision 👏
I finally picked up the Sennheiser HD 25s after seeing them on the heads of just about every DJ and broadcast professional for years, and I completely understand the hype. These aren't your typical consumer headphones with active noise cancellation and Bluetooth; these are purpose-built audio tools, and they excel at what they do.
