Blind Spot Mirror

In my opinion, every single car on the road should be equipped with these stick-on wide angle mirrors, on the outside edge of both the left and the right side view mirrors... Even onto the mirrors on the right side of most newer cars that are already somewhat wide angle! Because, this type of mirror is even wider and they completely eliminate all blind spots on both sides of the car. There is no longer any reason to ever have to look back over your shoulder before changing lanes, for example which, in itself, is dangerous. They just take a couple of days to get used to judging distances and then you can never drive without them again! I even put them on rental cars because I can't drive as safely without them! This particular Pilot brand seems to be well made and the adhesive is great. Wet weather doesn't weaken the adhesive.

Easy to install, just mark your drill bit for depth so you don’t drill a hole in your roof. Works well, kinda difficult not to when it’s got 5 mirrors to see behind you. Other than middle aged golfers thinking I got the idea from golf carts (nope SCCA racing came first for me) I don’t have a single complaint. Since I installed it in a 99 Tahoe (OBS) and I’m not afraid to take a couple of measurements prior to screwing it in, my sun visors still work as well.

If you have a new driver in the house and your the instructor sitting on the front passenger seat, you know how important it is to know what's behind you while on road. Since the rear view mirror is being used by your student driver, how can you get a quick glance as to what's going on without taking your eyes off the road ahead of you?This mirror while designed originally for keeping a parental eye on your bundle of joy on the backseat can also be used to keep any eye on traffic when giving instructions from the front passenger seat too.PROS: low cost for simple but valuable tool. Easy to install either with the included suction cup or visor clip. Small size so as to not be a distraction or block vision safety for the new driver.CONS: none really, its a simple PLASTIC (not glass) mirror. Just don't wipe the reflective surface with a dirty cloth of any kind, can scratch easily.OVERALL: for your peace of mind while teaching someone how to drive, this can make all the difference for the both of you on the road.

Its a nice, “at a glance” mirror to know if theres someone right along side or right behind my doors, in my blind spot before i change lanes. The mirrors are small so you wont get a lot of detail in what you see - but its more of a “there IS or there IS NOT SOMETHING” in the way. You’ll still need to use full size mirrors to see things like curbs, and to park (i have no rear view mirror in the truck, just side mirrors) but its helps give you a quick overview of a larger area to know if you SHOULD be looking more closely, or need to move your body to get a better view in your regular mirrors. Adding these now gives me 3 different type of mirrors on each side of the truck - all with different but overlapping views. I can look and scan all 3 quickly and KNOW there isnt anyone right along side me that the two others mirrors cant see. I put these on every truck i get issued since i started working at this company over 20 years ago. Also helps when towing a trailer - as the end of trailer disappears from the other mirrors. To see a few more feet of trailer swing, however small the image may appear - is way better than not being able to see it at all. I kinda wish i had gotten ones about an inch bigger since the mirrors on the truck are so big, and I have the room for larger ones - but these work fine. Anything added is something gained when it comes to visibility. For reference - i have these mounted at the innermost, bottom corners of my two side mirrors. Thats what seems to work best for me.

I just received this in the mail, I ordered it because after reading the Q&A reviews, it was decided this would be a 2-pack. Upon receiving the package today, it only came with 1, which was extremely disappointing. Why would I pay the extra $10 if I'm only getting 1? Very misleading.

I needed a wide mirror to see across the back of my 1988 Chevy Caprice Brougham. This mirror was wide enough but (and excuse my language) is the cheapest piece of crap I’ve ever purchased. Is this a joke? The plastic is cheap like it should’ve come out of a gumball machine. The mirror is really warped and makes everything seem farther away than it is. The day/night switch flips itself every time the mirror is adjusted. It sits too close to glass and does not adjust easily as the joints are almost stuck. Also the mirror is extremely light weight and vibrates so that it makes cars behind me look like they’re bouncing around. I constantly had to adjust it (which is almost impossible.) Anybody remotely considering this should completely re-think this purchase. I wish somebody told me how cheap-ass this product really is. I normally try to leave good feedback but this has been a major time-waste and nuisance and was extremely dangerous trying to constantly mess with the mirror while driving a long distance.

This 3" blind spot mirror only comes with one set of adhesives. Make sure you place your mirror exactly where you want it the first time around because there is no fixing it if it is too high or too low or too much to the side. Although a little pricey, the product works as intended and it is as described.

Purchased for my weekend gti and mirrors started falling out while driving and smashing all over my seats 2 weeks after fitting
