Knifel Submersible Pump 1500L/H 25W for Fountains and Aquariums

Bought for a garden water feature with a fountain. Firstly, a similar pump at a local garden centre was almost twice the price, so at £18.69, this one from Amazon seems good value. It does the job. Bought yesterday, so I cannot comment on reliability etc. The power lead is not very long, so be aware of that. The clear plastic pipe is packed so it's kinked, so that can restrict the flow. We measured the distance from the pump to the connection on the water feature, and then cut the pipe to size. The clear pipe was a bit of a tight fit, so putting the end into very hot water solved that issue. It does make some noise, but the sound of the tinkling water masks that. So, low price, good value and it does the job. You could spent a lot more money on a pump but that that's down to personal choice. So far, so good. I am happy with it.

Fantastic. Very powerful

Used to help with water changes in an aquarium. Very easy to use. Used every 2 weeks since purchase and still going strong. A bit noisy.

Brilliant. Does the job perfectly.

Bought to empty a 10ft x 30 inch swimming pool. Worked brilliantly. Managed to push the water up a 1.5m difference to get to the drain.

Very poor performance. If you have over a metre head your in trouble. About 40l/h I reckon. Pretty rubbish

The pump works well but the lead is way too short and means either having to buy an expensive outside extension or have the pump in situ right next to the house.

First of all, I bought this for short-term use, rather than as a water feature, so can't comment on longevity. i used this to pump a citric acid solution around a vehicle heating system to remedy a blocked heater matrix. On arrival it was easy to set up, didn't require much in the way of bleeding, was super quiet and other than the plastic lightening in colour a little, survived 12+ hours of being submerged in a mild acid solution. Unlike other reviewers, I'm pleased it came with the standard UK 13A plug
