This collection represents Frederick Nebel's last original creation for the detective pulps, spanning three separate magazine titles. Among detective pulp collectors, Nebel was very well known and highly regarded. Part of the reason he was unknown to the rest of the reading public was Nebel's reluctance to have his pulp stories reprinted, except for one paperback collection, wanting to be known as a serious author. This is a wonderful group of stories with "The Crimson Fist" being a standout. If they appeal to your reading appetite, then check the other collections of Nebel. You will not be let down.
