Just go for it!
I took a chance ordering this kit as there were no reviews, no customer images, and little specifications in the product description. I had messaged the seller before to ask for the dimensions of the extrusions but in the end got impatient and ordered through prime as I didn’t want to have to wait until after the weekend.I’m glad I took the plunge! The kit arrived promptly through Amazon and was well packaged. Inside an oblong box I had some cellophane-wrapped aluminium extrusions and a number of varying sized bags of various bolts, nuts, washers, rubber feet etc. Now, I should add that I did have three issues with the kit when it arrived. When reviewing the parts list I spotted I had a few bolts short, but in truth - I wasn’t using the pheneeny AM8 guide to the letter so I didn’t much mind (I’ve actually ended up with a bunch of various spares). Then I spotted an odd piece of extrusion; a rogue standard profile where this kit contained special (and I should add far better!) ‘groove’ profile with larger profile ‘holes’ and a nice groove/lip. I also noted some minor damage to one of the x-axis extrusions.I quickly messaged the seller and emailed some photos - the seller (Niclas I think?) was very apologetic and offered to replace the parts immediately on receipt of my photos.I had also noticed that the angle brackets for putting this thing together had little nubs which slotted into the profile to keep them centred. I established that four joints required these angled brackets to be mounted perpendicular to the ‘slot’, and proceeded to file off the ‘nubs’ which took mere minutes. On questioning this with the seller I was informed they are designed to have the nubs broken off.. my bad, as I didn’t even think of that.So I built my kit with what I had the very night I received it. I added pieces as fast as my rickety Anet A8 could print them and eventually had a full frame. By this time, the seller had very promptly replaced my aluminium profiles with new ones, topped up the additional bolts I had been missing, and even threw in some different sized printer nozzles for good measure by way of apology I assume. The nuts supplied are square nuts (not v or t-slot nuts) but they do the job just fine, albeit they can be really fiddly. To be honest though; you don’t buy a 3D printer in the first place and not expect to have to ‘fiddle’.All in all... if you are hesitant, just get the kit ordered. It’s super solid when put together, I didn’t even have to reference any instructions. What I DID do, which I recommend you also do, is download pheneeny’s AM8 model for Fusion 360. It helped to have a visual reference to measure the positions of pieces along the slot...I’m always on my phone so if you have a question you want to ask me, as a verified purchaser, fire away.I guess the main question is... does it make a difference to my prints? YES! My printer is stable, safer, more consistent, and quieter. I retrofitted ‘squashball’ dampening feet to mine as it’s sat on a wooden desk on a wooden floor upstairs (very noisy) - if not for the deafening stock fan I can barely hear it printing from just outside the room with the door closed-to. I’m also now quite confident that relocating the printer to clean my workspace isn’t going to cause me hours of hassle recalibrating. You will note my absent lcd display from the photos - I’m re-designing my own in Fusion at the moment so haven’t printed one.Overall; very happy customer.

Perfect conversion
Came with everything I needed (minus printed parts) needed to convert my Anet A8 😁 would definitely recommend to everyone that has an A8!!! Make sure you follow the guide for breaking off the little bits of metal for the corner pieces(so easy though once you know what you are doing.
