I'd like to mount this monitor, do i need any special equipment or adaptor if i order a vesa mount 100mmx100mm? i've never mounted a monitor.

I don't know about the 100mm size, but it's a standard VESA mount. I had a double-monitor holder from the company that made my standing desk, and it mounted just fine--very simple. You should have no issue.
