Clean, Safe, & Amazing!!!
I was hesitant and skeptical about using bar soap for dishes, but once I got past the initial phase of being grossed out by the idea of lingering bacteria left on bar soap, which was put to rest after research (bar soap is completely safe to use), I wanted to kick myself for not transitioning to using bar soap in the kitchen sooner, or should I say, backtracking to it since this is how our elders and ancestors washed their dishes, amongst other things. Don't fix what isn't broken is a good adage for many modern ways of living. We should never have started using plastic containers for virtually everything, and we definitely shouldn't purchase products from companies competing with one another by making new "improved" formulas (even the so-called natural-based ones). Anyway, back to this particular bar soap. I have just finished hand washing everything, from silverware to pots and pans. I gotta say, I enjoyed using this soap! Not only did it clean my metal utensils and my ceramic bowls, it also smelled clean and fresh, like how a clear breeze should smell (not at all like the synthetic fragrances in detergents and perfumes that use the title "clean breeze/fresh scent"). I have extremely sensitive skin (and nose) and there appears to be no irritation (I skipped using gloves to feel the soap) and my hands feel silky smooth without being dried out. I have not seen any spots or residue on my dark ceramic ware. My drinking glasses and pyrex bowls are crystal clear as well. I picked this soap over others because the company uses eco-friendly packaging and having two bars is awesome since I can probably use the other one for something else. The price is also unbeatable. So many companies out there that I looked into have expensive bars that crumble easily. This soap bar is dense and easily transfers onto cleaning utensils and makes suds quickly too. Also, the ingredients in this are simple and I like how it has absolutely no palm oil, which was another key factor for me when I looked for a truly environmentally friendly answer to washing dishes. I have used Seventh Generation, Biokleen, and Ecos to name a few, but all their hand dish soaps (even when bought in bulk and shipped from their warehouses) are stored in bulky plastic. In comparison, I use a lot more liquid soap than I did with the amount of bar soap. I used a skoy scrub pad on the bar to transfer the soap, and sometimes I just made soapy water by rubbing my hands over the bar under the faucet. For reference, I used both hot and cold temperature well water. I keep it on a sink caddy, which has metal bars and a drip pan underneath. It was simple to use, like it should be, and I have to say I did not miss pressing down on a pump or squeezing a plastic container to get soap out. This bar is my new cleaning staple for the kitchen. Wow, I wrote a lot, hah. >_<

Great for hands and dishes!
I love the fact that this soap is made from all natural ingredients and is easy on your hands and dishes! It lasted about a month before it ran out and I had to use the other bar. It's easy to hold and use on dishes and is effective for most levels of grease. The lemongrass aroma was pleasant, but I tired of it after a while and missed the smell of Dawn soap. My hands were soft and never dry. I recommend this soap for people looking for all natural products and hoping to eliminate chemicals on their dishes.

Good product
Overall the soap is great. I purchased this because I was in a pinch waiting for my own soap to cure and thought I'd give it a try. It works really well, does not leave the dishes greasy in any way, does not dry out the hands, but I have one complaint and that is that if you leave a wet scrub brush on the soap it sinks into the soap after only a few days. The soap is also very easy to trim as we trimmed it down to fit in our soap dish.

Just say no to plastic!
I am trying not to buy anymore plastic containers, recycled or otherwise. This soap works great, cuts grease and leaves dishes clean. No film left, I rinse well with very hot water. The bars are not going to have the lather like the liquid dish soap because the liquid soap contains chemicals to make lather. I don’t think it smells bad at all and I have a sensitive nose, a lot of smells make me nauseous but I really don’t smell anything like what others say is a strong scent. It doesn’t have any fake smell added like the liquid soap does. It has lasted me 7 months. Also my sponge doesn’t smell bad, ever. With dawn my new sponge smells bad in a few days. I noticed dawn says it kills germs then in tiny writing “antibacterial hand soap” so it’s not killing germs on the dishes like these bars do. Packaging is paper, wonderful! I won’t be using anything else in the future.

wanted to love it
I really wanted to love this soap, the smell is pervasive it's not terrible but it is nothing like lemongrass and lavender. I could have gotten past that but this soap leaves a strange film on everything. it feels greasy it's impossible to use with gloves because everything becomes so slippery.

I love it
This stuff is amazing switched from Dawn to this and it’s so much fun. Whoever says it doesn’t clean thru grease you’re wrong it just did perfectly fine on this spaghetti plate and we know how that goes lol love the scent smells so clean.

Changing my review
Editing my review. I started out thinking it was pretty great. However, once it was used on heavily soiled/greasy dishes I realized it just wasn't. It did end up leaving a hevy film, even on my hands, that was hard to scrub off. The citronella candle smell got very tiring, too. I started to dread using it. Sorry, but this is a big no from me. I haven't used this on any especially greasy or heavily soiled dishes yet, but I can tell it is good dish soap. It doesn't leave a film like the last kind I tried, suds fine (not over the top bubbles, but I don't like that, anyway), nice big bars at a great price. It smells kind of strange...like a citronella candle...but that's okay. It's a natural, plastic free alternative that works, so I am happy!

Cleans great. Scent may off-put some
I really am committed to dish washing with a bar soap, and this bar is great. The ingredients are few and are the kind that help repel germs. I simply lay the bar in my wash basin, aim my water sprayer nozzle at it and let it rip. Then I top it off with water only. This soap is strong, washes many dishes. Please understand (and I've experienced this too, recently, with bar shampoo) the washing effect is DIFFERENT than liquid detergents, which we have all grown accustomed to. I recommend that you have a rinse basin to lay the washed dishes in, or just know that you may have to rinse a tiny bit longer than with say--Dawn. But your dishes will definitely be clean and sanitized. One small drawback is the scent. Since there are no essential oils or artificial fragrances in this soap, this scent is just the ingredients, in a soap formulation. It is not easy to ignore. Not quite the bathroom cleaner pine-sol smell, but in that spectrum. Slightly milder, too. But definitely THERE. I'm keeping it, and will continue to use it. It's not a dirty smell for sure, so I'm getting used to it.
