Q: Does this work ok for ice cream, too, or is it better suited for ice-based popsicle type items? I'm worried about getting the ice cream pops out.

I think it will work well for either. We use it for fruit-based as well as some Popsicles that we put yogurt in. Getting the Popsicles out of these molds is easier than the plastic ones. All you have to do is give them a very quick rinse with warm water. The downside is that you can't see through them.

Not sure but we have been using them for 6 months and they work out great for our acai and smoothie shop.

Grams isn't a measure of liquid, it's a measure of mass which means the number of grams each mold can hold will vary with the density of the liquid. Technically, ounces are also a measure of mass, fluid ounces is the unit for volume. Typically, you always want to measure the volume of liquids, although in certain instances mass can be used if you know the density or are just aiming for a repeatable process and the value of unimportant. Similarly, it's best to measure the mass of dry ingredients as things like "1 teaspoon" can be subject to significant variations.
