Q: Are these any good for road jogging ?

I personally would not use then for running. The "plastic" looking ankle support is quite soft and doesn't give any support to me. If you are thinking that this isn't an issue then they are very comfortable and give great floor impact absorbsion when needed. I would be careful on wet ground though as the tread is only on the sides and not the whole base.

As a 8 myself I went with a 8 1/2 myself. It fits fine but you will need to tighten it a bit. As for 7s I'm unsure, I just figured my feet would be crushed
