Pictures of Venice through its history, especially of the last couple centuries
Everything looked fine until I got near the end and the book delved into the love life of Venice, as it should. But there was one pornographic painting from around 1900 that made it impossible for me to keep this book in my home, to show to my kids. I intended it as a gift for my daughter, who spent some time in Venice. Why show some erotic love scene, with the fully exposed genitalia of both the man and the prostitute? Why otherwise destroy a perfectly fine book that only a small minority of readers would want in the book? As if we don't already know about sex? or sex in Venice?
