It's small but powerfull
It's for 1 to 2" adjustments - used like a reverse vice - I needed a vice grip to turn the knurled adjustment grip ..... it works

Nice quality. Works perfectly.
as a novice machinist i shoulda made my own jack. I am glad i didn't now. This is a very robust little jack.I bought the smaller one also..

very sturdy
They are fairly priced and very sturdy. You will not jack up much weight with them, as you have to grab onto the knurled nuts somehow and spin them. But they can HOLD UP a whole lot of weight!

Best Jack screw I have
Seen this one online and thought I would give it a try. Working in a job shop you have to make out of the ordinary setups from time to time and you get in a tight spot you need a jack screw to finish the setup. This jack screw has aggressive knurling on it to help tighten (make adjustments in height) I wish it was square instead of round, when using it to lift heavy objects it can be hard to turn, if it was square you could use an adjustable wrench to make adjustments. The jack is a good value for the money.

machinist jack
As a machinist I never have enough machinist jacks in the shop. Fabricating a jack in the shop is a simple procedure but with limited available shop time purchasing a ready to use jack was more favorable. Many of the listings online feature similar designs, tapered bases and threaded jack screw. Some of the bases are cast (somewhat crude in appearance), some from stainless steel, etc. Many listings are for bases with a simple general hardware bolt and lock nut (not even machining off the bolt identification or providing a smooth jacking surface. The Pro Series HHIP jacks are simple in design, available in several lengths, powder coat finish and knurled segments. Ends are finish machined for accurate placement and easy to adjust. Highly recommended.

Not the size stated at all.
Item details in the listing state tese are 6"x6"x6". They are way smaller than that. Useless to me.
