I highly recommend these and will buy them repeatedly. Store them in your car in case you ever break down In the cold, bring them camping, bring them to outdoor music festivals. I have brought them to rave festivals and when my air mattress was freezing cold (bad idea sleeping on an air mattress directly on cold ground, horrible insulation) this kept me warm enough to sleep! It really does last all night long- I just kept it in my bra and it was perfect. I took them out to the shows at night to stay warm too. These are much warmer and longer lasting than the small hand warmers which I am not really a fan of. They can get HOT though- to the point that when freshly opened and shaken up it can hurt to have against bare skin for too long. The more you shake the hotter it gets. Through the night if it gets cold just shake it up again!

my hands get so so cold. i have purchased several rechargeable hand warmers and i prefer these. they last longer and get hotter than the reusable ones. the square is pretty large and it couldn't get any easier to use. you just open the bag and give the pouch a little shake to aerate the insides. the air makes it hot. i usually use these while walking my dog at night. i keep them in my pockets and put one in my shirt. sometimes it gets hot enough to feel like my chest is burning, but it burns so good, if that makes sense. like it's so warm and comforting, kind of like when you step into hot water and it stings a little at first. anyway, i would say this is also pretty sturdy. my dog has tried to play with this before and the pouch didn't break open (which i was really worried about). i also gave one to a friend at a theme park once and she dropped it into her food, but was able to wipe it off cleanly and still use it. i would also say it lasts the whole 18 hours as advertised or longer and i plan on buying them again. my sister says sometimes you can reuse these by vacuum sealing them into ziplocks and putting them in your fridge. then when you reintroduce air to it, it'll get hot again, but i don't know if i believe her.
