My wife used this maybe a half of dozen times. Not her favorite flat iron as she has thick curly hair that is hard to straighten, and this product didn't get the job done as well as she expected. It uses a fair amount of the oil which cannot be removed easily so using it for travel would be messy at best. Last time she used it the flat iron popped and large fire sparks flew. Fortunately she was doing the back of her hair at the time so while scared she didn't get hurt. If the iron had been by her face it would have been a different story!

called the manufactory and they said that this flat iron was the old version. This one you have to take the cartridge out to fill with the oil. They said the new version fills from the top of the cartridge. Also told me that if you do not see some vapor when you put the plates together , with the vapor button on, then it is defective. There was no vapor coming out of the iron. I did return it

I was skeptical at first about this iron as I typically believe everything I see. I have mountains of products and appliances that I do not use! THIS APPLUSNCE DOES WHAT IT SAYS! I have very processed hair and was told by my stylist to STAY AWAY from straightening irons! I keep the heat on low and this actually makes my hair BETTER!!!!!!!!!! I use every day now!! If you have any doubts at all, trust me. BUY IT!

As much as I would love to give this iron 5 stars I cannot because the main reason I purchased it has a major flaw. I have seen other complaints about this iron leaking but according to other reviews the manufacturer has stated it was corrected with a new fluid container. I have the new one and the problem persists. If you are a woman with a blow dryer, a curling, a flat iron, and all the other tools, you most likely have a caddy or some way of storing them all. I do not leave everything sitting out on my bathroom counter because I can't - my bathroom is small! Forget hanging this iron on a hook. Every drop leaks out immediately. And I have two vapor irons. Both hanging side by side. My other vapor iron - not a single drop has leaked! The liquid that comes with this Agave iron is SO similar to the product that is used on my hair when I get a Brazilian Blowout treatment every 8 weeks. If you have ever had a Brazilian Blowout you know the magic it is capable of, especially if you live in Florida. So I really really wanted to keep this iron. So I compromised. I took the chamber out that holds the vapor solution and I store it absolutely horizontal in my medicine cabinet. Still leaks! I really hope the manufacturer fixes this major flaw because the vapor solution and the iron itself are AMAZING!!!!

I was compelled to find a steam/oil infusion flat iron this year. This is my second try and most expensive. I say don't bother with the cheap ones - this is the real deal. My hair is relaxed and quite frankly I rarely wear my hair down, usually in a ponytail or up in a knot. This flat iron is MAGIC! Many family members have the Keratin Treatments or Brazilian Blowouts to achieve what this flat iron can do in 15 minutes. I'm totally impressed. The Agave infusion vapor is everything....THANK YOU AGAVE!All that I said above is true. I purchased this product in December 2017. Haven't flat ironed my hair with it over six months because I wore my hair in ponytail lately. Found it and it's dead. No heat. I am on a mission to get my $160 back or a replacement. So disappointed.

I'm a hairstylist and loved this vapor iron. It was the best price I had found for this tool and decided to order through Amazon as apposed to my regular reps. I'm sad to report that after only 5 months of use both reservoirs that came with this iron have broken. It doesn't mean the iron is useless, but it does defeat the purpose of having a vapor iron.

WARNING: The warranty on this product is not what you think, so if you're going to spend the $150 on it, be prepared for disappointment. It's marginally better than a regular flatiron, but no better than a flatiron that steams. Good enough for me to use about 2x a week. But after using it for about 5 months - it popped when I plugged it in, and then wouldn't turn on. OK - one year warranty, right? Check out their replacement form - you have to include credit card information so they can charge you a $35 "Warranty fee." And sorry, Puerto Rico, Canada and Hawaii, you have to pay $45! I've never heard of a company charging a fee to replace their faulty product still under warranty. I can't believe this is a legal business practice, and I don't have time for a class action, so I'm tossing this piece of junk and purchasing a cheaper flatiron that just does it's job. What a crappy company practice.

I have had this since July 2015 and it made a spark yesterday while using it and is now dead ... $100 for a flat iron and now it is not working ... That is very upsetting
