For those with older large aquariums that came with a mid-section fluorescent lighting unit and which is difficult to replace, this is the perfect solution. My aquarium is a 120cm (4 ft) Fluval and its lighting unit finally failed. This Nicrew LED unit is perfect. Its best feature is the hand control of the on/off, and the white and blue lights as well as the timer function. The control allows six separate levels of brightness using this control very easily. As you control everything by hand, there is no risk of failure of a remote control (this unit does not come with a remote but I've had one for another product which was waste of money) or an app-controlled unit which professional fish keeping reviews advise carry a risk of app failing to connect with unit). Also, the pull out metal clasps mean you are not restricted by width of your tank. The unit fits flat across the top so you don't notice it. It's a great piece of lighting and provides an excellent cost efficient solution to replacing lighting in older aquaria.

Had it a week now and very pleased with the light. I did have a tube before but decided to upgrade to LEDs. Love it!! Illuminates the tank with adjustable white and blue, have both together or just one. The timer is a godsend as my tube was on a timer so that's why I bought this particular one. The only little thing I've found is that the legs aren't stepped so it hangs off the top of my tank and rests on the condensation trays. It doesn't get wet but I'm not sure if this will cause problems in the future. But overall I can't believe how good this unit is. Completely different light to the tube, the tank looks clean and the fish are happy which is the main thing. Thank you NICREW!

I deal the ends pull out to adjust to the tank size and then sits steady , all the others I tried always rocked or dropped into the tank , I just need to work out how to set up the timer and I will be sorted
