Worked
For me it really helped. I'm coeliac. I do not abused it though. Once in few months I would take 2 pills when I'm not 100% sure the food I'll have is gluten free

Gluten Defense

So far so good.
i'm going to give these 5 stars for now. I'm pretty sensitive to anything that has gluten, beers, breads, crackers, almost everything seems to give me a reaction these days. Get crazy inflammation and blood pressure side effects, headaches, gut aches. But you know, some days you have a craving for something and when you do i'd rather break down as much as i can. The more it breaks down to other components the less side effects i'll get is the theory behind these things, and i believe these work to some effect. This morning i ate a bfast burrito, took two gluten defense, so far no adverse affects. Sometimes it hits me later in the day, or the next day, so i'll post again later if i get any of my usual side effects. But as a new product to me, i'll always start off with 5 stars and go from there. Stay tuned. Ok, last night had a half piece of pumpkin cake, with two capsules. So far i'm still doing ok, i dont think it broke down everything as i had a very slight side effect which was my bp was a little higher, but it wasn't the normal high blood pressure reaction, so i think so far it is helping break down some of the gluten. Today, i'm venturing further with a slice of dave's healthy bread, and maybe a hotdog with bun. I dont want to add too much gluten back abruptly as it could trigger a pretty bad reaction, but so far i'm doing ok on these. Will report more as i venture with different gluten sources. So it's been about 3 days, i've totally eaten more gluten then i have in 6 months this weekend. I even tried the glutiny beer that uses probably the same enzymes to break down the gluten in the beer. But so far, no gut ache, no pressure headaches, no dizzyness, no gas, bloat, no stomach ailments, feel ok. My side effects and inflammation doesn't seem to be out of control because i haven't gotten the morning high blood pressure that i normally get from gluten. I still wouldn't recommend celiac disease people to indulge in gluten but it's the occasional times that you have to have that piece of pie. I'm sticking with my gluten free diet, but it was nice to eat a few gluten products over the weekend and not feel deathly sick. Comparing this with Now, swansons, this seems to work slightly better. Update 12/10/16 Bought more of this, seems like it does work better then some of the other gluten enyzme products, and not sure if it's because it has other enzymes as well to break down other substances, like sucrase, lactase, cellulase, lipase 1,2, amylase as well as the dpp IV, but haven't had any stomach aches, or emegency bathroom moments lol. I've had a burger last night with fries and i was ok, i'm taking between 2-4 at a time, if a few slices of bread or a burger, i take 2-3, if i have any more gluten with it, a cookie or something. And i'm also lactose intollerant, usually whole milk or rich ice cream/yogurt will usually incur a bathroom visit within hours of ingesting. I ate a noosa (super delicious yogurt) and was fine when i took this enyzme with my meal that had gluten just 30 min earlier. So my verdict is, it will help some of you like me that are gluten intollerant, but if you have full blown celiac then dont' chance it. I lost a lot of weight from probably intestinal damage and weird allergy symptoms from probably a bad leaky gut, i still dont gain weight like i used to, so i think the damage has been done. But as i continue to mainly avoid most gluten containing foods during the weekdays and just enjoy some gluten on the weekend, like this morning i had a slice of bread with peanut butter, which i haven't had in a few years, with 3 capsules, i still feel fine. I think the main thing is if you are getting the autoimmune reactions still after using this, then dont chance it. It's not worth the possible damage to major organs to have that piece of cake.

Two Stars
Helps a bit, but the only real gluten defense is total avoidance.
