OLEOPEL Oleophobic Coating

First of all, Hello Everybody! Essentially, I had just gotten a new phone and started wondering how the heck the manufacturers were always getting the screens slicker than silk and essentially fingerprint-proof (oil repellant) for the first few weeks. Being someone who likes learning some new shtuff, I decided to go a quick Google search and ended up finding out that most new phones come with a light oleophobic application prior to getting boxed. So I ended up searching for it on Amazon and found the traditional, vial of gel/liquid version (that I'd only be able to use once or twice) that was pretty pricey... But then I noticed this version listed with zero reviews (so I was scared as hell to buy it lol) which costed less and could be used around 6 times! If you're still reading this: Congrats! My writing sucks - so thank you! Anyway, I ordered this oleophobic coating wipe kit and have tried it out by using it before bed so that the coating could dry out and sit overnight... And so far it's doing pretty well! I noticed that my screen is JUST starting to receive some very, very faint, temporary fingerprints after about 3-4 weeks from application - and I'm a techy nerdy person who works in the tech industry and so my phone is used pretty darn often - so the coating should last longer for others. So this stuff is definitely better than the stuff that comes pre-applied on new phones! And aside from that, it's also reusable so long as you have a plastic bag and some sort of straight edged clip to reseal the wet coating wipes in their packages for future use. I'll attach a picture of how I resealed both of my wet wipes (you just can't see the blue bag in my picture as it's directly underneath the white, coating bag). If each coating lasts as long for you as they did for me, then I'd buy two of these at once and it'd last the entire year! But if each coating lasts longer for you, then I'd probably just snag one. Either way, I'd try it out! I like this product a lot! Instructions followed & produce applied. Did NOT work whatso ever. My screen looks horrible still & ths Olei shield is NOT there. My screen is instantly covered in oils even after fresh clean hands. 0/10

I used this on my Galaxy S20 since the screen was starting to get more oily and not as easy to clean. It was easy to install. I put it on at night and let it stay on over night then buffed the screen atleast 12 hours later and it looks so much better and easier to clean! I dropped the phone months ago face down on concrete (liquid glass saved it) there are a few deep scratches and it appears the Oleopel coating filled them in as well as little scratches throughout the rest of the screen. This doesn't effect touch screen capabilities. There's enough product in the wipes to be able to use again a few times or multiple devices. Will definitely purchase again!

I really wished this wipe on coding would work well but I can't say it did. I applied one coat left it overnight and then put another coat on in the morning but the smudges kept appearing as if nothing happened. Was a little more slippery and felt different but did not prevent smudging. Tried on an S25 Ultra.

This product does work and makes the phone screen feel great, but it just does not last long for my use. I applied this to my phone screen 5 days ago, and it is mostly gone already. I put my phone in the front pocket of loose fitting work pants, and I estimate that this is enough to wear the coating off pretty quickly. Not even one full week of use and the coating is now ineffective. This product is overpriced for what you get. If I could get 3 applications for $15 then I would be tempted to keep buying and just apply 2 or three times a month- it might even build up after a while. It is easy to apply, so would be fine with more frequent application, but not at that price level. As I stated, it does work - just wears off way too quicky. It is a little frustrating to me that the seller claims that this will last 3-6 months. I understand that it depends on use, but I am very careful with my phone, and did not use anything harsh to clean it after application. I was really careful to apply liberally and let it dry overnight. I just think that seller's claim for product longevity is out of line if not flat out false advertising - world we live in now I guess.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S21. I used to have a sapphire glass screen protector but it made the fingerprint reader almost unusable where I had to attempt unlocks 3 or 4 times each time. It was maddening! I recently added the liquid screen protector recommended with the Olephobic treatment shown here. I did both. I noticed an immediate improvement in fingerprint recognition over no screen protector at all. It's not only accurate the first scan but it's blazing fast now. I assume that's because my finger isn't leaving a smudge on the glass due to naturally occurring oils and dirt and the like. Very pleased. So much so that I've added it to my 12" touch screen in my Ram Power Wagon!

Like others have mentioned, this coating does not work. I cleaned my phone thoroughly, applied the coating in the evening in a low humidity environment, and buffed it clear in the morning. At the start of that day, the screen did feel different (similar to that of a new phone), but by the end of the first day, it had already lost its effectiveness. By day two the screen was attracting fingerprints just as it had before the treatment. Don’t waste your money.

Estafa total, se siguió al pie de la letra las instrucciones por lo mismo de las reseñas negativas. Quise ver si quizá era la mala instalación por parte de usuarios, pero no, realmente no sirve en lo absoluto. Se limpio, se le aplicó el tratamiento y se dejó reposar durante 12 horas y el resultado es inexistente

Applied to 8" tablet and 4" phone a few months ago. One coat was not sufficient, as after a week or so, fingerprints were again showing on the screens.

Lo apliqué sobre una pantalla Samsung galaxy s24 ultra pero no funcionó el recubrimiento.
