Autistic badge, Autism Awareness Button Pin Badge

A great way to raise awareness in workplace
As an NHS staff member who is neurodiverse I wear this badge to give people a gentle reminder I am autistic and to be patient. This has rippled through my work place where other nhs staff are starting to wear similar badges for their neurodiversity 😊

Very Handy!!
I love this badge!I struggle a lot with being out in public, loud places and shops, I often get overwhelmed and meltdown. Having this badge is very helpful, it helps me when I can't communicate to people why I'm distressed or why I'm not necessarily behaving in the way someone expects. It also helps because then people can see I'm autistic and staff members in stores have asked me if I'm okay more than before if I'm in a store and look overwhelmed or upset or lost.It also helps because due to my sensory needs I'm unable to tolerate a mask, I get asked a lot about why I'm not wearing a mask but since I have had this badge I get asked a lot less and when people do ask they see my badge and leave it at that but I do carry a letter from my autism team just in case.

It's Tiny!
So disappointed with the size. You have to go up close to even read it. It's not much bigger than a 10 pence piece. Waste of money

Ableist
So many autistic people have said this, but none of you allistics listen. The puzzle piece symbol is ableist. We are not ‘confusing’, we are not ‘tragic’. This symbol is so horrid and i am extremely horrified that so many people think this is okay. All this does is infantilise and oppress autistic people. Please do your research before buying this.
