Worked beautifully for my post surgery recovery. Excellent in every way. If you wear this next to your "skin" do yourself a favor and find an exceptional "itch cream," it can drive you nuts!!

Relieves stress from back

Works well if your fat. Tough to get around and make it tight, I see other options where you put it around you first and then pull straps on the sides to make it snug. Would be better to find. 12" is the only plus. Material is garbage. They all are. As a temporary solution it'll do.

I ordered a few different abdominal binders and this one was my keeper. I had ventral hernia surgery and this was my life saver. The hospital didn’t give me one and the last surgery I had they did send one but it was a piece of crap so I wanted to be prepared with my own!! I am 6’1, 290lbs and this fit perfect!!! I wear a size 18/20 women’s pants for size reference on this binder. It was snug enough and if I needed it tighter I could make it tighter and it would stay attached even with my weight! It was long enough in the torso to fit over my larger than normal stomach even with my extra tire if you catch my drift! It kept my stomach from hanging and my sutures from feeling like they were being pulled on. I wore this 24/7 except when I showered and I would wash it during this time. It has been 6 weeks since my surgery and I now wear it while I am only at work. I am a nurse and this helps also with my lower back pain and gives me support and is much more comfy than a back brace. So this binder is multi use! I HIGHLY recommend! I think I will buy another for a backup!!!!

The picture shows an all kick-butt product. Wearing it; yes, it is the right size...wearing it is an entirely different experience than the picture. 1. If you have a lower just below the belly button (small hernia) you want to keep in place till you can see your doc, then this would work for you - I see mine on July 11th. 2. The velcro is STRONG and the material is nice and soft...guess what happens... I now have a belt that looks like cotton candy fuzz from the adjusting and sorting of it at the start and from just undoing it to have a break. 3. Even with 2 people doing it getting it to align so that the velcro doesn't stick too far down and snag undies or stab thigh or set wrong and too high up to snag top or stab abdomen. 4. Wearing it over clothing is comical as it won't stay in place unless you pull SOOOO tight as not to breathe. 5. If you try to put this on standing up you will have total frustration in under 5 mins as you start to move about or sit. 6. Putting it on lying down is the way to go...but be warned - gonna really make you nuts. On the plus side of it... It is the best one that I've found yet even as much as it aggravates me. I have gone thru my share of belly (hernia) support bands. There is minimal ride up on the hips but all bands ride up on the hips and always seem too big there even tho I've been measured for the "right fit". Also, I don't get super hot in it like others - it does breathe but I've not tested it outside here in Fla and I've no desire too.

UPDATE: Somehow my personal phone number got sold to a scammer who just called using a local spoofed phone number regarding a "medical brace" offer. This is the ONLY place I have bought or even searched for a medical brace!! I have downsized the stars in my review to reflect this situation!! *************** I bought this because I have some nerve thing happening in the upper left quadrant of my abdomen. It feels better when I apply pressure. The size was accurate, I ordered a 2XL. Trouble is it smooshed all my fat out the bottom!! If there had been one more row of elastic for us long-torso people then that wouldn't have happened. Also, for me this didn't work well because the velcro part stopped RIGHT above the area I was trying to protect. It didn't like the extra pressure. Another thing that will prevent me from being able to wear this all day long is that I can't shoot my insulin through it because it is too thick. I ended up wearing it one day to test and lucky for me that roll of fat that smooshed out the bottom worked for my insulin!! I am going back to my shapewear, it applies even pressure and doesn't smoosh out the fat. I wear it backwards with the underwire part on my back and the back on the front up under my bra. This wrap-around velcro brace might be good for some future ailment, so I won't return it. Just wanted folks to know that it is too short for long torso people.

These are great. Velcro holds up does the job. Comfortable. I had an umbilical hernia and my intestines fell out, after surgery I’m required to wear the binder and this is the most comfortable of the 3 different kinds I’ve tried. Will definitely be buying another when I lose enough weight

Clicked on "write a review" and found the one below that I wrote March 2018 after a complete hysterectomy. Not sure why I didn't submit it...pain pill interference perhaps? Every word brings back the original reason for trying this brace. Night before last (8/30/19) I ordered a second one (2xl) just to have an extra one to trade out...and it was mailed the next morning. My current one (18 mo. old) is still in excellent shape. Not understanding why others had problem with it stretching out. My suggestion: 1) try the process i used for putting it on (described below); I was too clumsy to stretch it around me and attach but that may have saved some of the "stretch" over time. Also 2) I hand wash the band with a short soak in Dawn and air dry it in front of a fan (no dryer heat). I have to admit that after a while I wore it longer than the 3 hours advised by my doctor often sleeping in it all night. Made turning over so much easier. Now I still use it often when my back feels tired, before starting housework, and while mowing my 2 acre lawn. And I do wear it when I go out shopping (tank top first, band, flow-y type shirt so band is invisible to others). I can't say enough good things about how this band has helped make my body more comfortable and daily life productive!. Thank you again, BraceAbility people!!!!! March 2018 I was trying to figure out how to MAKE some kind of support for very painful & strained torso muscles following a complete hysterectomy surgery. Fortunately i bumped into this choice & nearly cried. It came QUICKLY in the mail ( thank you). I found what worked best for me was to lay the brace on the bed, fold over so there is exact alignment of the 4 bands, and attach velcro. Then i folded the brace to 2 bands so it looked like a giant rubber band. Slipped it over my head, worked it over one shoulder at a time, & gently slid it into place. Unfolded bands so all 4 hugged me for 12 inches x 52 inches. INSTANT RELIEF OF STRESS IN BACK & MUSCLES! Talked to both my doctor and surgeon the day i ordered it; they both thought it was worth the try & were curious to see how i used it. NOTE: both docs said to restrict use to 2-3 hours at a time (i used the brace 4 times daily) & by day 3, could feel improvement. A real blessing.

In Wirklichkeit ist das Produkt winzig – es passt nicht einmal annähernd um einen Bauchumfang von 1,20 m. Selbst bei deutlich schlankeren Personen wäre das kaum möglich. Die Verarbeitung wirkt billig, das Material ist dünn, und die Abbildungen im Angebot täuschen über die tatsächliche Größe hinweg. Ich halte das Produkt für irreführend beschrieben und nicht geeignet für den angegebenen Zweck. Rückgabe bereits beantragt.
