DESIGN CHANGES NEEDED
Bought this as a "Return" at a very good price since I needed a case to fit my Hora Octave Mandolin. And it does, even though it is a little big in body width and head-stock area length. Neither is a huge issue for me, however as I use the extra width along the body to store the attached strap. (Using multiple folds for the strap between mandolin body and case side takes up the space.) The main issue with this case, as other reviewers have also mentioned is that the factory positioned the handle too far back making the case VERY neck heavy and unbalanced. I solved this by moving it forward, but it does take some skill and a little fabrication so not everyone would want to tackle this. Otherwise, it's a fairly nice case and was definitely worth what I paid for it.

Terrible to carry
First off, the pluses. The case looks great and is well made. It has a nice interior and is very sturdy. The Negative is something that makes it a terrible purchase. The handle is in the worst possible place. The case cannot be carried properly. The top of the case points almost to the ground when you pick it up. It is very uncomfortable in your hand. It actually puts stress on your wrist and is very hard to navigate while carrying. It doesn't have a fix to this problem. The only way to make this case useable is to move the handle and to do that , you have to cut out the interior padding and try to remove the handle. This would leave you with holes in the case and a damaged interior. I would return the item but I tried to see how I could make it useable and have damaged the case. Do not buy this case. PS....it doesn't fit all sizes Irish Bouzoukis, onlt the smaller ones. I have two and only one fits.

Good case, but bad handle placement
The case itself is nice & does the job ... but the handle couldn’t be in a worse spot! After getting a banana handle and placing it on the center of balance (and removing the old handle) it makes a great case. But I had to do too much work to give it 5 Stars

WARNING!! The dimensions listed for this case are the OUTSIDE dimensions. The interior width for example is actually only 11", way too small for most Irish bouzoukis. Otherwise the case is of good quality and the hardware looks to be good enough particularly with the price.

Great Irish Bouzouki case
I've had a Fender Irish Bouzouki for a time and this is the first hard case I found. The price was great, It is made very well and fits like a glove. It even has a lock and nice key. Thank you.
