Works great, exactly what you need
I bought a new tv which had a ton of hdmi inputs but only 1 set of component/composite inputs. Everything else I own uses composite outputs, and I didn't want to switch out the cables every time I wanted to switch from my Wii to my dvd player. If you're here you might be in the same situation. Let me tell you, this switch box is exactly what you need. I was worried because some people said it wouldn't balance right or the internal electronics could be better, but I've been using this for over a month now and it works perfectly. I used up all of the composite connections, and it still remains balanced with the additional weight in the back. If the internal electronics could be better, well, who knows, they probably could, but this inexpert user would never know the difference. This little box works like a charm and the price is definitely right. I highly recommend it.One thing to note: the picture is incorrect, the box is gray and the buttons are on the front. Maybe they recently redesigned it and haven't update the picture. It really doesn't make any difference to me, but if you're concerned about the color or the look, well, now you know.

Works great
The switch box you get is a different model than the one shown, but it has all of the same features. I think it looks better than the original, anyway. There are 4 groups of Composite / S-Video & L / R Audio inputs, and one output. Switching between devices is as simple as pressing a (particularly loud) button, once you have everything wired up. The jack on the front labeled 'Output 2' is a convenient stereo-audio bypass jack. You could plug in your headphones or a set of speakers, and the audio will play through them instead of going out the main output cables. Of course, there is no volume control for this, so simply plugging in headphones with no volume control may not be suitable, if your device does not have volume control either.I read one review saying that unused inputs are all tied to the active-input's ground, directly. That being said, if, for whatever reason, your video input went through a Y-splitter, the video signal would be loaded down to ground, meaning you would end up with virtually no output signal. I haven't tried this, so I can't confirm it for the newer model, however just keep that in mind. I'm not sure why you would need a splitter for a one-output switch box, anyways.

Awesome!
This switch box is awesome. I needed a way to hook up my Gamecube, PS2, N64, and NES/SNES combo to my TV. It's really nice because it's a mechanical switch box so no need for an adapter to take up space on an already full power strip. Now when I ordered I did get the right model (RCA VH911) but the casing is different that the one shown (buttons are on the front with a more square shape). I actually like the one I got better than the one shown.Any way. Works perfect. I would highly recommend this switch box. Great price too.

A lesson for me in selecting selectors
After using this RCA VH911R selector, I now know what I'll be looking for when I choose a replacement for it, which may be soon. This one has the selector buttons on the front of the box, which means that because of where I have it sitting, I often have to pick the box up in order to switch the buttons accurately. I would prefer that the buttons be on top of the box. The buttons also make a loud clicking noise when pressed unless you hold a finger by the button that is being pressed back out so that it releases more slowly and quietly. The buttons also sometimes get stuck in the in position, which requires pressing another button or buttons multiple times to release the stuck button (and then sometimes the button used to unstick another button becomes stuck itself). The video quality using RCA cables does not appear to be as good as that of the previous selector I was using. All in all, I am not happy with either the design or the performance of this selector, but it will do until I can get a better one.
