What is the difference between the 3 types of ear plugs , besides the price ?

The difference is wind noise reduction Race offers highest noise reduction Tour little lower Pro, you get both tour and race ear plugs

Is there a reason to even get the tour model when the race would cover all situations?

Only if you have a particularly quiet helmet and relatively quiet exhaust. However, for the small price difference between the single model (touring or race) and this set, why not get both types plus a carrying case? If you unexpectedly take on a passenger, you’ll at least have a pair to offer — it’s better than them going deaf. These things are pretty easy to clean and disinfect afterward so they’ll be ready for the next unexpected passenger or for you to use if you lose one of the other ones.

Hello, where is this manufactured?

Alpine hearing protection and earplugs are made in the Netherlands.

Can you purchase the insertion tool separately? Mine slipped out of my hands and went down a sewer grate.

The insertion tool looks to be about the size of an insulin syringe. Try that.
