I recently purchased this women's jacket in a medium size, and I couldn't be happier with it. The quality is top-notch, and it feels incredibly well-made. I wanted a winter jacket that had enough pockets that I didn't need to always carry a purse. This jacket is perfect. It's super comfortable, fits well, the shirt tail style in back is a nice length and look. Not too heavy but very warm. Good range of pockets--zip breast for small items, two bigger pockets inside (one zip, one velcro) that are big enough for phone and other similar sized items. My new favorite coat!

Love the coat. Fits great with room for layering, but not restrictive. Durable and warm. The back tail covers the low back and butt against wind. Ample pockets. I also bought the same style for my 3 yr old granddaughter in Capsian Plum. Great purchase.

Never purchased Carhartt before but I am so pleased I took a chance on this coat! Excellent workmanship! It’s rugged, warm and designed to almost perfection. I literally love every single thing about this coat.I do have one design flaw, there is no zip cord adjustment at the bottom hem. I’m going to find a place to put one in because there is room and space in the hem. Beautiful rich burgundy color and grey fleece lined but not in sleeves which is perfect. Fleece in the sleeves makes it difficult to pull on and off. I expect to have this coat for the 20 years

Recently moved to Maryland from Florida and needed a warm jacket as we move to a farm. I was not at all familiar with the Carhartt brand. Little did I know that I became a true Marylander when wearing this jacket. I love the hood and the warmth as well as the fit. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 125 and this jacket, with a base layer, and a shirt gives me a nice warm hug when I put it on. After purchasing it and telling my mother-in-law about it, her response was, “oohhh you bought a Carhartt?“. It gets extremely windy here, and cold. I especially love the hood. The strings that pull it together, or just the right length. It’s like wearing a teddy bear. Awesome product.

I am a size 2 normally. I bought a medium 8-10 due to knowing it will shrink some. It is loose fit as it states. It is super warm, comfortable and does have fleece except down the arm sleeves. Great quality as I expect out of Carhartt. Very pleased. If you like your sweatshirts bigger order a size up, if you like a snug fit I suggest ordering your usual size.

The quality is obvious the get-go. The good-looking-ness is obvious once you put it on. Comfortable, warm, and I know this will last YEARS (provided I don't change weight. This coat doesn't seem to have a lot of "give" in that respect. 10 pounds less it's like to be too big, 10 pounds more too small). I'm 5'5", 145 lbs., and the medium works for me. I tried it on with a longer shirt and the shirt stuck out at the bottom, so keep in mind that the coat cuts off right around the hip bones. It's not long if you want to cover your hiney this coat didn't do that in my experience. Thank you hope this helps!

I had attempted to purchase a womens wool lined Carhartt coat last winter on Amazon. It was a slightly different style with the rubbed waist band. It was out of stock. I kept it in my cart hoping it would come back in stock and when it did, I purchased. The item ended up getting canceled and I was back on the hunt.Locally it has been tough to find womens styles that are available in size small as well. Nothing in our area it seems, at any of the farm retail stores. I went back on the hunt again this year and found this here on Amazon and available. I am 5’7 and 125lbs. I chose the size small and it fits perfectly, with the ability to layer, but also fine with a teeshirt underneath.This style does not have the ribbed knit cuff at the waist like the sleeves have. The previous style I liked had that so I wasn’t sure if I’d like the way it fits and looks at the waist but I don’t mind it at all. It fits great over my carhartt coveralls. I’ve worn it with jeans and leggings as well and also fits and looks fine with those too. I have a little longer arms and the fit is perfect in arm length too. I have layered carhartt hooded sweatshirts underneath and the all over fit is still great.It’s the wool lining for me! I love love love the soft wool lining. It’s cozy and just a lot warmer feeling that the nylon fabric lining some of the womens styles have.There are a lot of pockets, along with those that zip closed, inside and out. We have a poultry farm and so far I’ve found the pockets to be helpful for my supplies, cell phone and keys while working. My cell phone doesn’t fall out when I’m bending and working like it often did with my old barn coat. Plenty of room in the pockets for my (larger) iPhone as well.The hood fits nicely and has drawstrings that can be tied but I haven’t even had to tie them. Just pull them a bit and the hood has stayed on even in the strong country wind.I’m super happy with this purchase. I’ve stayed warm in our recent negative temps, working outside for a long period of time.I’ve also worn this casually out running errands, to dinner and even to church.I would definitely recommend this carhartt coat. I’m glad the search is over!
