It works; Well Packaged; Well Documented
I don’t have the lab equipment or know-how to evaluate this unit’s accuracy. I doubt most buyers do. But it’s reasonable to assert that it at least can detect the gasses it’s alleged to detect, and provide an alert when the concentrations become unhealthy. I have tried blowing on it, producing a low oxygen alert, which is reassuring. Farting on it does not trigger the hydrogen sulfide alert for me, but I can use my nose to detect H2S. Anyway, no calibration certificate or calibration data was provided, but it does include a little hood with air hose feeds to allow you to calibrate it yourself, if for some reason you have the equipment to do it.I’m mainly concerned about detecting carbon monoxide and propane, because I want to use this in my camper van. Mounted low, it should be able to wake us up and get us out of the camper in case of CO or propane concentration. I also am considering using it for abandoned mine exploration, but would like to use it in conjunction with a partner’s different unit until I am completely satisfied that it works for this application. The unit comes with a very nice aluminum carrying case with cut outs for the USB cable, phone-style USB charger, and the calibration hood you’ll likely never use. The case is rugged, but is much bigger than it needs to be. Do you need a rugged case for a phone charger and a USB cable? By the way, the cable is micro USB, not USB-C. The unit recharges using the phone charger, so you can top it off anywhere you can charge your phone. It also comes with a pretty detailed instruction manual, a big plus, as well as a lot of customization for alarm threshold levels. The unit itself is constructed from rather cheap feeling plastic. It’s reminiscent of a toy. But it’s not a big deal… the thing looks cheap but feels solid enough for its purpose. To be honest, smoke alarms also feel like cheap plastic, and we have no problems using those. The alarm it provides is a heavily accented feminine voice telling you exactly what the problem is, followed by a klaxon type alert. Some words are too heavily accented to understand, but you get the gist of it. There is also a dim red light that comes on as well, and an indication on the screen what the issue it. Mainly, having an unfamiliar voice telling you stuff in the middle of the night should wake you up before the klaxon even sounds.I’ll admit, I don’t have a lot of experience with these units to determine if this specific model is better or worse than all the others. But I do know that it is priced competitively, is well packaged, and appears to work as advertised. If I had paid for this, I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Did not detect natural gas, nor butane
Exposed it directly to some pretty good blasts of butane (from a lighter) and natural gas (from a stove), but it failed to detect either.Oxygen readings appeared reasonably believable at 20.4% indoors; alternating between 20.4% and 20.9% outdoors. Oxygen reading dropped when doing both the butane and natural gas blasts noted above, which was a good sign. Oxygen also dropped when I exhaled directly on it. So if I just needed an Oxygen detector, then this would have been okay. The screen on the product received, indicates four types of readings: H2S, O2, CO & EX (not CH4 as shown on Amazon). The EX vs CH4 difference wasn't a deal killer, since I need to detect CH4 and it is my understanding EX would detect that. The deal killer is that the product doesn't appear to detect either butane or methane, so it failed right out of gate within an hour of unpackaging. After determining the device would not detect natural gas or butane; I didn't bother to do a candle test for carbon monoxide. Have no idea if it will detect C02 or H2S.The hard case it came in was very nice. Unfortunately no cover is going to make up for a product that doesn't fully function. It is possible that some type of calibration is required to get the EX detector working correctly. The instructions provided were not clear enough to determine if a calibration was necessary, or even how to do a calibration. I would think calibrating is an important thing, yet the manufacturer/seller apparently does not value this function for at least the English speaking customers. All in all, a total waste of everybody's time. It is going back via Prime. I'll need to shop for a different multi-gas detector.

Protection
Recently while working on my house I decided to get this because I didn't want to do something and unintentionally cause damage to a gas line and not notice it which can be very dangerous if not noticed in time. So this gave me that peace of mind that if I did do something wrong I can know about it.

cheap chinese crap
as soon pulled it out of the box and turned it on and the clip broke off of it. Bump tested it and it works after the gas has been going to it for about 20 seconds then you get the alarm, in a real life H2S situation you would be dead in that time. I do not normally leave negative reviews but this thing is dangerous

Failed after a few uses.
Had a couple and they do tend to fail quickly - usually with false low oxygen alarm and displaying 0 % oxygen level. Impossible to then recalibrate.
