Four months into a very expensive shampoo that makes some bold claims...even recommended by my stylist...and no difference. Waste of money!

I wanted to use this for several months to give this product a chance and to be able to give an honest review. This shampoo was NOT good. First of all, from the start this dried my hair out really bad. I used the conditioner, as well, and it did nothing to alleviate the dryness. Second, this didn’t help with ANY growth of hair. In fact, I think I actually lost more hair while using it (breakage from the dryness?). I will not buy this ever again, nor the conditioner.

There's no doubt about it--this product is expensive. Almost $100 for both the cleanser and the conditioner. It took about a month for my hairdresser to notice anything--because I'm thinning in the back and can't see it too well myself--but she reported she could see little hairs beginning to grow. I've been using it for about six months now, and hair continues to grow. I'm not noticing a much fuller head of hair because the hair growth is just pacing the rate of hair loss. But, I'm happy because it's stopped the net hair loss.Just make sure to follow their instructions--leave the cleanser in for five minutes, rinse, then apply the conditioner, and then rinse--and it really does work. I had been using Nioxin for years, but it hadn't been working to stop the thinning. But, Actiiv has kept my hair at status quo. And, that's good enough for me.

I just wish I'd known about this stuff years ago - although it might not have existed back in the day. You know, the day when I had more hair.Anyway, my hair has been thinning for a while, which doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that it's thinning in a weird pattern that's hard to style well. I'm not ready to go full Bruce Willis, so my stylist suggested this stuff. I got a small trial size for less $$ and used it for about four weeks. I did my best to follow the instructions exactly.After three weeks, I noticed that my hair felt thicker. I got more product. After my first haircut that followed my starting up with this stuff, my hair still felt thicker. The style I like looks good again.So I'm a lifelong customer at this point - at least until I'm ready to embrace the Bruce Willis look. Yippee ki yay, my friends.

My hair was thinning in the back and my hairdresser recommended Actiiv. Within a month or two my hair was thicker and fuller, and after six months I've seen even more improvement. I've been using it for over 3 years and still seeing good results.Every other day I wash my hair with standard shampoo first, then use a pea-sized amount of Actiiv - which produces a nice foaming lather - and leave it on for about 5 minutes. The lather is much better after washing out oils with the first shampooing.I was quite happy to find such a simple fix since I was really starting to stress about my hair thinning!
