Q: Is it easy to put on/take off the retainer? I wear my glasses all the time but only want the retainer on for sports.

well the very purpose of a "retainer" strap would be defeated if they were too easy to remove. THe strap can be removed but it isnt easy and probably not something you want to be doing often. getting them on is also a bit of work. i have a set on my cycling glasses...they have never been taken off

I have both Chums and the Wayfarers, and yeah. Its kinda annoying to get over though, takes like a minute or so. But its worth it cause you look fly as heck and they are really useful - they dont come off once they are on

Q: How easily can you remove them?

If the glasses have larger ends, they will fit nice and snug but will require pulling hard to remove; if the ends are average, they will fit but will be easily removed; if the ends are slim, they will not fit and will be too loose to count on them not to fall
