Pocket Guide for Radiotherapy in Clinical Practice: A handbook for first-year students during clinical placement

Good but outdated.
Good for general knowledge, but I got told on placement that it is currently outdated, and for £10 it covers the basic knowledge, so best bet is to save yourself £10 and research a bit before you go on placement!

Disappointed
For the price I expected a lot more information, such as how to set up patients correctly and how to measure FSD’s and calculate shifts etc. There was nothing in the book that I haven’t learned in class. When on placement it is difficult to ask staff to explain what they are doing as they are trying to prepare the patient as quickly as possible. Handy book but not worth the price.

A must have for all first year students before placement
This guide was written by a student doing Radiotherapy at the university I attend. A must have for all first year students before attending their first placement, I am due to begin my second year and will definitely be using this to refresh myself before starting my placement.

great!
this is a handy little book to have, it goes through all the little tidbits you might want to know had little details about treatments and little tips for students. It is 'pocket sized' however I've never really carried it around with me as there's not a lot of note space. I've found it very helpful and I think others will too. It arrived before the expected delivery time and in great condition. Nothing to complain about.

Get a copy if you're doing radiotherapy
This is your Bible to refer to during the start of your course. You will feel more prepared with this in your pocket (current 2nd year student)
