Well-Made Garden Stakes That Work Just as Well as Name Brands
These are excellent garden stakes and every bit as good as the well-known brands I've purchased over the years from local garden centers and home improvement stores. First and foremost, these are metal stakes, exactly as the title describes: Plastic Coated Metal Garden Stakes. There seems to be some confusion about that, but my video review even demonstrates the metallic sound when tapping two stakes together. They are coated with plastic, just like other quality garden stakes, to help protect against rust and extend their life outdoors. The description refers to them as lightweight steel., I think they could be aluminum. Whatever the exact metal composition, they strike a nice balance between being easy to handle and being plenty strong enough for normal gardening. Unless you're trying to drive them into rocky ground or extremely compacted soil, they push into my flower beds and vegetable garden with very little effort. Once in the ground, they provide excellent support for tomatoes, climbing plants, flowers, and young trees. They help keep plants upright and do a great job preventing stems from bending or breaking in windy weather. I've been using plastic-coated metal stakes from various manufacturers for many years, and I honestly can't tell any difference in quality between these and the more expensive name-brand versions. If you're looking for durable, dependable plant supports at a good value, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these.

Teepee them if the ground is too hard
These are pretty sturdy even though they are not full metal, but I knew that. I also knew our hard clay ground would make it a bit difficult, but I needed stakes for our tomato plants that were falling over. These were the best value I could find. I wasnโt able to push them very far into the ground where it was super hard, so I ended up making a tee pee shape with 3 poles to hold my tomato plants. I tied rope around the top to hold them together. See pic. I like them a lot. When I push them into the ground, I hold them at the bottom, and it works better, that way I don't risk bending them. Despite the fact that they have a little bend, they still are very strong. I ordered a second set the year after to stake my tomato plants and pole beans in the main garden. I didn't have to teepee those as the ground is better there.

Good deal and many uses
These are quite sturdy and make good garden stakes. I even use them for short fencing with deer fence mesh to keep deer away from some of my perennials. They tap in quite well , even with a hammer in my somewhat hard soil.

Garden stakes
I put up some chicken wire fencing around my garden to keep the rabbits and deer out. The fencing is 4 feet high; so, I bought these stakes (5ft) and wove the stakes through the fencing and then pounded the stakes (using a rubber mallet) and fencing into the ground and it worked out great. I am 72 yr old female and was able to put up the fencing by myself. I put up 100 ft fencing. If you use enough stakes, every 3 -4 feet, they hold up the fencing perfectly. P.S. Yes, I bent one and it broke about 1 foot from the bottom. I was still able to use both parts to anchor the fencing.

HOLLOW AND NOT SOLID.
THESE ARE HOLLOW AND NOT SOLID! THEY WILL BEND EASILY, BUT DO POUND INTO THE DIRT OK! JUST DECEPTIVE! THEY LOOK LIKE A SOLID STEEL REBAR, BUT OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT! THE THICKNESS IS EXACTLY THAT OF A "SHARPIE" MARKER AND HOLLOW JUST LIKE ONE!
