Si solo vas a ocuparlo ocasionalmente, está bien si vas a ocuparlo de manera intensa, se calienta mucho, yo le instale un hhd de 8tb, lo tengo para tener mis mis películas bluray y 4k al final terminé colocando un disipador, entonces si se mantiene en una buena temperatura, he visto hasta dos películas 4k rippeadas del disco y sin ningún problema, si tú uso va a ser intenso mejor buscar un modelo con disipación activa si no puedes hacer alguna modificación como yo.

Vantec enclosures have been my "go to" for years. The reasons are that of them still work, and that involves dozens of enclosures over a lot of years. Also when I had cause to contact Vantec tech support over drive size capacities, I got immediate helpful response. The NexStar TX USB/SATA controller inside the enclosure is well supported under Linux (the operating system I use) for allowing testing and monitoring, as well as being able to allow fast DEPENDABLE data transfer. My data transfer program does check if an exact copy has been made - and I haven't seen any errors thrown up with any of these enclosures I've used, even in heavy testing. More simply put: these enclosures can work with the drive health monitoring of your operating system and warn you when the drive inside is having issues - while you still have important data. When you move data to/from the drive it's the quality of components not magic which results in a good copy. That being said a good backup program is going to be worthwhile rather than simple file manager copy/move -ESPECIALLY if you have changed the cable for a longer one. I've had just one drive/enclosure fail to work after a (rough) shipment across country. The fix took under two minutes (since I'd left the enclosed screwdriver in the box) and simply involved reseating the drive forward on the tray, after which everything worked has worked fine. I may try using lock washers to more firmly secure the drive on the plastic tray and prevent slippage. But computer equipment isn't designed for throwing or dropping, even when well packed and unpowered.. I really like these enclosures. While they lack the rounded corners and heavier build of the CX series, they work extremely well and the price is right. The LEDs are far less annoying than the brighter CX. Cooling is adequate and I even tested with 7200 drives for limited runs to tax the power supply. It's still up to the user to set drive monitoring and to use proper backup software to ensure that their data gets to the drive uncorrupted or to get warnings when they've used a poor cable or haven't plugged it in solidly.

Bought this to go with my Mac mini, works perfectly with APFS file system (no config, plug and play). The external screws are different from the internal ones (doesn't fit). Not too noisy, blue light is kinda strong for dark environments. All-in-all great product for the price, recommended!

Used to have my hard drives in “simplecom” external enclosures however these proved unreliable. Vantec whilst more expensive provided reliability which is a must in my use case. Enclosure also works with 22TB drive in case anyone is like me and needs to use it for such big storage.
