I bought this after getting an M1 MacBook Pro. As it only has 2 USB 4 ports I wanted to make sure I had the ability to plug in non USB-C plug type devices. The additional SSD worked straight the way, and my Mac automatically recognised it. Great little combo.

Unfortunately it would not charge via the power input port and it would not communicate with an external hard drive.The storage facility within the unit worked ok. We had to return it as we could not have a second backup on a external ssd. Uh

The SSD in this failed within six months and is no longer recognised by my mac.The way in which a dock is to be unplugged throughout the day vs the care that should be taken for a hard drive, make this a very difficult device to recommend- as both features are made significantly less useful by combining them.The device is absolutely not user serviceable, however one might find the plastic casing incredibly securely fastened with a number of clips, revealing a very well shielded metal enclosure secured with screws and sealed with a number of clips. If one were to remove the entirety of the case, as I did not, they might be rewarded with a B+M keyed M2 SSD upon which data recovery or secure destruction may be more easily attempted.

Works pretty good and SSD is great bonus feature. The only issue I couldn't resolve was plugging my keyboard into it and then got lag when typing so had to run keyboard directly from laptop.

Works like native flash disk. Installation, performance after installation is better than expected. Usually OS runs slow when booted from an external disk. No such issue experienced with this product.

Not overly complicated so I won't explain it, it's a USB-C hub with a built in SSD. I've had another Anker Hub that has performed flawlessly for over a year now and lives in my mobile bag. I had high hopes this hub would work well too, and typical Anker - it does. Every hub port works exactly like you'd expect and performs well. I don't have a 4k monitor to check, but it handles my 2k display just fine. The SSD is a treat, it works exactly as if a memory card or flash drive is inserted into a hub, appears in your file explorer or finder and works without any special drivers. It's fairly fast, I haven't measured speed but I did many high res photo transfers and it completed them fairly quickly so no complaints. For the cost, it's a good value. I've used it on my Surface Pro, ChromeOS device, a Mac and even my Mirrorless camera. Being able to offload images from my camera so easily is a treat in the field on a shoot. Great little device.

Der Adapter wird mit einer Stoffhülle geliefert so das er beim Transport geschützt ist.Installation:Einstecken, Treiber findet Windows automatisch. SSD ist schnell genug. Ob die SSD getauscht werden kann habe ich nicht probiert.Alle Ports machen was sie sollen, für den Strom habe ich mein Netzteil angeschlossen, geht!Nutze ein HP Spectre mit Windows 10.

I got this on a special sale on amazon, and I can't believe how amazing this thing is! It's a 4 port hub that also has a 256GB NVME SSD inside!!!!!!!! It's super fast data transfer rate and HDMI video out for a second monitor, on top of all the other features makes this thing yet another AWESOME Anker product! I've shown it to several friends who've also bought it and they love it!

Works great. A necessary gadget for a MacBook Air. I bring it with me everywhere. Not the fastest SSD but fast enough for most people (500 MB/s). Built-in USB C cable is a nice touch.
