Bold Venture Press presents America's first superhero in his original adventures!Zorro’s popularity has spanned the world, across all cultural demographics, for nearly a century. He was the original masked crime-fighter—defending down-trodden citizens from an oppressive government and criminal elements with his swift blade and keen wit. Now readers can thrill to his adventures in this six-volume series which collects all his original stories. The Mark of Zorro (a.k.a. The Curse of Capistrano ) introduces popular culture’s first masked crime-fighter. This volume includes two additional adventures, “Zorro Saves a Friend” and “Zorro Hunts a Jackal.”Also: a study of “Zorro’s California” by Sandra R. Curtis; film historian Ed Hulse documents Zorro’s original Hollywood adaptation in “From Pulp Page to Silver Screen.”www.boldventurepress.com Review: Great stuff. Sword play with a little humor thrown ... - Three stories about the masked hero. The first is novel length and is the first appearance of the fox {Zorro}. The second story is shorter only 30 pages. Zorro saves a friend from a card cheat. The third and shortest is how Zorro escapes a trap laid out to capture his. Great stuff. Sword play with a little humor thrown in . Guy Williams would have been great to resume this role, but alas he's no longer alive I'm going to purchase the next volume. This one has three illustrations before each story. It also gives two back ground essays on Zorro. Review: Good read - I am a fan of all Zorro, Musketeer, and Scarlet Pimpernel stories. I enjoyed this book quite a bit.

Interesting to read original stories
Fun to read. Good escape back to simple storytelling. Several spelling errors and typos should have been corrected. That did distract. I plan to order #2 and hope that edition has improved proofreading.

Great compilation of Zorro stories
Before these books were published, I used to try to track down the Zorro stories individually, which was time-consuming and could get expensive.

Excellent read
I was looking for "The Mark of Zorro" here on Amazon when I came upon this book. Since it had two additional stories I couldn't resist. "The Mark of Zorro" is an outstanding adventure yarn where the good guys are real heroes and the bad ones are super evil; there's no gray area in between. The other two short stories are in the same league as the main one. On top of that there are two short essays : "Zorro's California" and "From Pulp Page to Silver Screen". Both very interesting. All in all a very good read.

I loved the movies so I bought the book.
Everything is predictable. You know it will have a good ending. That's good. Sometimes it's nice to read something that's not political or heavy. I usually read non-fiction. This was VERY enjoyable!. Just like the movies.
