Great noise gate! Works perfectly!!!

Very effective at killing the constant hum on back line cabinets when I was using distortion pedals on Jazz and Jaguar PJ basses.

I don't have a lot of experience with noise gates, I bought this because I liked the price, the product description, and the mini form factor. And with one knob, it's simple. I don't want to have to deal with more than one knob when it comes to just dialing out noise. It does what it says. I don't play a lot of high-gain stuff but when I do, I hate that hiss you get from your amp and/or your pedals. Everybody gets the hiss at high gain levels whether they want to admit it or not, it's a nature of the beast. When I say "high gain" I mean hard rock, I don't play metal. This pedal kills the hiss completely when you stop playing. Just dial in your threshold and that's it. I put it in my FX loop but if you get all your gain from pedals, just put it after your last dirt pedal. 5 stars.

I had a little extra room on my board and wanted to add a noise gate as an option. Once you get the hang of its capabilities, it works fine. I’ve used it to cancel out hum from strats and to cancel out heavy distortion feedback. It’ll do either. I have it around the middle of my board before mod pedals. Is it the best? No. It’s automated and has weird sensitivities at times. It’s best to spend some time messing with it before you jam with it. If you have more room on your board, there are better, less automated gates out there. But it works just fine to my ears. It’s never ruined a song or performance, and it does its job. No regrets.
